Maybe... divide by 1.609?

Rough method is 8/5 - (mph x 8)/5 = km/h or (km/h x 5)/8 = mph.
This way 200mph = 320km/h

Accurate method is mph x 1.609 = km/h or km/h / 1.609 = mph
This way 200mph = 322mph (321.8)

Nope , you're not suppose to divide it . Like I said before , you'll have to multiply it ( for MPH to KPH ) Here's a simple example :

60 MPH = 96.54 KPH
62 MPH = 99.758 KPH

So , a 0-60 / 0-62 MPH time is a rough translation for a 0-100 KPH .

EDIT : Ouch . I didn't read your original post properly . Stupid me :banghead: Sorry Famine !!

hey famine, if i give you one of my saves, can you change that line with "bascus" or wutever and change it so that its to km/h?

or could you tell me how to do it/wut to put?

There's the rough method, the accurate method, and then there's the GT3 method. GT3 was made using kph (obviously) and simply uses:

kph * 0.630 = mph

An odd choice, since 0.620 would've been closer to the real conversion. If you want to be totally accurate, it's actually:

mph * 1.6093440 = kph
kph * 0.6213712 = mph
:)

Sort of off topic but, has anybody played Wipeout 64? That is the "fastest" seeming game Ive ever played. Yes its for Nintendo 64.:dopey:

????? thats funny cos here in UK we want mp/h but we got km/h, and u guys want km/h and you got mp/h, do you think they made a mistake during development???

The UK is part of the European continent. KM\H is the standard for Europe. Seeing as normal road driving speeds have little to do with speeds in GT3 I find this not much of a problem.

Ceiling_Fan: You ever played Wipeout 2097 in the Phantom leauge? Now that was bloody fast.

hey, there is a version of the game that you can switch between kph and mph, my friend has it, i think its the one the the red disc that you could get when it came out, but u cannot switch the normal version of the game.

Take pictures. I don't believe you/your friend.

:odd: hmmmm nor do i because if there was really a version like that i would of heard about it... i mean it would be quite popualr and unique wouldn't it.... like he said... show pictures.

This may be offtopic but I need help:How much is 230mph in km/h......I need the exact value....?
And is there any difference betwen PaL Version and NTSC version off GT3,does NTSC version has it's advantages,I need the answer because I'm competing someone on forum, and I have the NTSC version and he has the PAL version off the game,Please help...!

370.07km/h - but in GT3 an NTSC car doing 230mph would be the same as a PAL car doing 368km/h.

pictures please. i could find out on my own, alot of my friends got it with their ps2s when it came out.

When you say red disc, do you mean red case? Because I got GT3 with my PS2 a while back and it came in a red case, but the only red thing on the disc is the G in GT, as the disc itself is mainly silver.

I assume you do mean the case as most PS2 games have a blue case. Which means i have the red version, and no you can't change the speed option. :@

By the way it's PAL if that makes any difference.

hmmm. same thing here. i got my gt3 with my ps2 in a special box set; if anyone can remember when they were sold. and ive got km/h. so i dunno which one ur talkin about mate.
