This movie is looking really good. Anyone else looking forward to it.

Saw it in he cinema a few months ago when it was released here in HK. The first 40 minutes is compulsive viewing. Funny, well shot and with a truly awesome musical score. The characters all have great potential too. What happened after that is anyone's guess. It is pretty awful. Steven Chau, as funny and as talented as he is, really loses the audience half way through the movie. I didn't care about any of the characters and the plot was really obvious. I tjust became really tedious and stuck to the same basic movie formulas.

I was really disappointed after the rollercoaster start. Worth watching, but Shaolin Soccer is an infinately better movie! As are some of Chau's earlier movies.

I think I recognized couple of faces from the Shaolin Soccer in the preview of Kung Fu Hustle. Shaolin Soccer was a really funny movie. 👍 The humor in that movie was really similar to the stuff, I used to read in Japanese comic books when I was growing up. I think, I'll rent this one.

I have the video in DVD. It's in chinese and it's very FUNNY is you understand chinese . But Shaolin Soccer is better.

Yes, I think most of the comedy is lost in translation. A lot of it is very colloquial Cantonese.

I now must own this series of videos you speak of. This film was fantastic. I loved the extreme physics throughout the whole movie.

Actually, the movies have no relation other than the fact that they have vaguely similar characters. Which film have you seen? If you've seen KFH then definately watch SS. IF you've seen SS then you may be disappointed by KFH.

I've watched this couple of weeks ago and my god how dissappointed was I.
It was a ****E and tastless comedy!
Worst Stephen Chow film EVER!!!!!!!!
