Kurt Busch: Out at Penske?

I guess that means Shell will be pulling out soon then....after all, they stipulated a championship-caliber driver when they switched to Penske which was the reason Kurt got put in the #22 and Ragan is not that.

Shell has already stated they are behind whoever Penske puts in the car and are also participating in choosing the next driver. Guessing they played a role in him leaving so I couldn't see them having an issue with not having a top driver.

One of the criteria Shell Pennzoil had when it signed with Penske Racing last season was to have a championship-caliber driver. That prompted the move of Busch from the #2 Miller Lite car to the #22. Denker said Busch's replacement "may not be a championship driver right now,'' but said Shell is behind anybody they choose.

Finch told ESPN.com on Friday that Ragan contacted him on Thursday to say he met with Roger Penske in Detroit and planned to meet next week with Shell Pennzoil officials.
