Hey guys, feel like I'll use this thread as my intro. Love gaming and game merch, so racing and RCs/models are a natural domain for me. Recently decided to step up from my static 1/43s to 1/28 moving ones :)

To my suprise, Z's are nothing short of moving models whether you buy pre-painted bodies or blanks and decorate them yourself. Given the scale, tuning has to be extremely presice and that makes everything much more fun. You can race or drift these easily (AWD) so you're hardly ever limited by anything.

Does anyone race Zs here? Does anyone want to join this hobby?

Here are some of my works and racing bodies/setups:

As you can see, I intertwine all my interests as best I can. Recently restarted GT4 to build some of my RC setups in-game and put them to a test, so I hope I'll learn from everyone here and contribute something worthwhile.

My blog has a good overview of Mini-Zs as a whole- skv012altd.blogspot.com

Used to race them... but before AWD was available. In RWD, they were nearly undriveable on unprepared surfaces... too much torque... ...but they're great little cars.

Did a lot of hot-rod frankensteining on mine... moved the body back a bit and custom built plastic rear dampers to extend the wheelbase, all in search of a tiny bit more traction. Had some pretty strong motors, too.

My Ferrari 360 Modena Mini-Z sits in pieces next to my desktop computer... lol
Will most likely fix it up, along with doing more to my 1/8 nitro r/c when I get some money...

Started with an MR01 wayy back then. Then competitively raced MR02's when the MA010's first came out. I still have one MR02 left. My RC days are pretty much over. Tried bigger electric and nitro stuff but miniz's were by far the most fun.

Edit*

Heres some pics i dug up for nostalgic purposes

On the pit table at the local track. The atomic VDS was my main car
