I have decided to make a new racing club, this club will be know as the L.G.C.E racing club standing for LMP and GROUP C ENTHUSIASTS
The idea of this club is to make a friendly club of people who are enthusiasts of LMP (Le Mans cars) and Group C Cars who can not only talk about what is currently going on at events like Le Mans etc but also talk about tunes and have some fun races in these series of cars. I decided to create this club as, as far as I know, there is no clubs that favour these cars or races that do, as they are mainly cars like MX-5s or Acura NSXs.
When events are hosted they're will be four different events: Endurance races (dont worry these wont take in excess of 45 minutes) Time trials (consisting of 1 lap of a track which is timed) Sprints and 3 lap averages. More imformation about each events is below.
Endurance races: These will take anything from 30 minutes to 45 minutes (I don't want it to be too long) and will consist of atleast 1 mandatory pit stop. There will be a 30 minute practice before the race. There will be no particular order on the starting grid because, as far as I know there is no qualifying system in GT5.
Time trials: These will consist of 1 timed lap around a track at which you get a 10 minute practice before the race and then everyone will take it in turns to take a timed lap- fastest lap wins obviously.
Sprints: These will consist of three timed laps around a short circuit and, just like the Time trials will be timed and everyone will take their turn to do the laps. The total time of the three laps will then be compared. Fastest time wins. There will be a 15 minute practise before the event.
3 lap average: Testing the consistency of a driver, drivers will each do three laps in a row and their average will be taken, the best average wins. This will really test the consistency of the driver! there will be a 10 minute practice before the race.
RULES THAT APPLY TO ALL OF THESE EVENTS:
Cars will be split into two categories:
Group C: For all Group C cars
LMP: For all LMP cars
LMP1:For cars that are in either class but are felt to be considerably faster than the other cars in their classes, this will only possibly be a class depending if there are cars that are felt to be considerably outclassing the other cars.
Group C cars will be limited to a racing hard compound (sticking to period compounds like they used to race with
) and must be in their original state with no tuning (oil changes, and engine overhauls are strictly NOT allowed)
LMP cars will be allowed to run on all racing compounds (racing soft, racing medium and racing hard)
Tuning the setup on cars is ALLOWED (NOT tuning but instead the SETUP- TRANSMISSION and SUSPENSION etc)
Drivers are expected to respect other cars with as much care as if it was real life. If you make severe contact with someone this will be investigated and will possibly lead to a 1 race suspension or in, more serious cases, or if it is a continuous thing, will lead to a ban from the club. THESE WILL BE SERIOUSLY INVESTIGATED!
If you would like to join the club please post a little bit about your driving ability and post what aids you use (traction control and ABS- please give the number you use). Please also state which car you plan on using. Please also say how much respect for other drivers My PSN is RedBullX2011SV
An example of an application is:
PSN: Mazda123
Aids: Traction control: 1 ABS: 1 no active steering (you will not have to state if you use automatic or not as this is allowed either way)
Car: Peugot 905 (Group C class)
Driving ability: I have driven quite a long time on GT5 and have a good ability in group c cars.
Respect: I have a lot of respect for other drivers.
