If you would like to learn more about La-Z-Boy Racing and fun clean racing then follow the link in my signature.

The video below shows our Season 3 Championship race at Nurburgring on 8Apr11. The racers had to race 3 different classes to determine an overall champion.

The video below highlights one of LZRacing's Super GT races at High Speed Ring, we are running a team format as you can probably tell....

We are currently running various racing series with around 25 members, if you are interested you are bound to find a series you would like to join. You must be over 18 to join the team.

The Zonda R should've been banned because it's a race car.

Just like the top speed war between Bugatti and Shelby Supercars, there is the fastest lap around the Green Hell war. And honestly, this latter makes more sense to me. Lately Ferrari took its track focused 599XX to the Ring to make an incredible 6 min 58 seconds lap time. But just when we started thinking that time was set to last for a while, Pagani?s Zonda R destroyed it by a full 11 seconds and now Pagani Automobili has finally released the full on board lap footage of the Zonda R performing its astonishing 6 minutes 47 seconds run at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. As a reminder, the Zonda R is a 1,070 Kg (2,400 pounds) non road legal track car powered by an AMG sourced 6.0 L V12 tuned to produce 740 Hp. If you want to follow the building process of this fantastic track machine, and of course you do, i suggest you to take a visit to the Pagani factory in Modena thanks to this three parts article written by the Speed Hunters.

Instead of making a racing series that doesn't allow racing cars or race modified cars, why dont you just make it a street a.k.a road a.k.a production car battle?

The rules are the car has to have been available for civilian use as a road car at some stage.

That way you don't leave a grey area for things like the zonda r, which doesnt really have an organised race series, but isnt a road car either.

Btw the R stands for race.

I guess it's ok since the Zonda R didn't win. lol

It would have its driver didnt suck. So I dont think it should be allowed in a street car battle

Which series does it race in?

It's not road legal (too loud, no signal lights etc.), it is meant to be a track car. Sort of like the FXX I suppose, but I think you get to take this one home. But according to Top Gear, it's banned from most tracks because it's too loud. If that's true then it's only allowed on certain tracks in the real world.

You guys are funny with the Zonda R discussion, of course the league had a discussion on if the Zonda R would be allowed. As you can see, we allowed it and not many people chose to even race it. The league is about having fun not getting wrapped around the axels about silly details. This particular series will only last 4 races and then we restructure all of our classes. We are currently running three classes in this series Class A Extreme Tuners, Class B (allowing race cars up to 315hp), and Class C (lightweight cars up to 197hp), then we also run a random one-make race on Mondays as a little bonus. More information is available at our social group page.
