Anyone ever heard of this band? IMO, they sound similar to Dream Theater (waht few DT songs I've heard). I heard one of their songs on www.chronixradio.com and went out got a few of their cd's and I really like their music. šŸ‘ Does anyone know what type of msuic this is? Metal? Black Metal?

Anyway, anyone else heard of this band?
 
Its kind of gothic metal, but I have heard That they are NU metal. Lacuna Coil is a great band. I have Comalies. Pretty kick ass band.

I have to admit you made me laugh. :)

The last Lacuna Coil album I've heard decently was Half Life, but I am sure that they are not Black Metal and they definitely do not sound like Dream Theatre. ;)
As Silverzone said, Gothic Metal is probably the best description for their type of music.



I still listen to In A Reverie sometimes and yes, I still dream about Cristina Scabbia sometimes as well... :rolleyes:
 
They're best catorized as goth metal. & no, they do not sound like Dream Theater which is like prog metal.

Anyways, I personally love them. I have their cd in my changer almost every week. My favorite song by them is "Heaven's a Lie".

Well, the reason I said they sounded similar to DT is because the first song I heard by them (Heaven's A Lie) sounded very similar to one or two songs I've heard by DT.

Heaven's A Lie is also my favorite. šŸ‘
 
I just got their remastered album after watching a drift clip by the FBI guys.. the song playing was This is My Dream..

They are definately not Nu Metal as Linkin Park is catagorised in this..

Love they're work.. lookin for CD's.. and YES! Cristina Scabbia is hot.. And I was already thinking this before I saw pics of her.. You can't have a voice like that and be fugly ;)

Yeah, I got that video a few days ago and I really liked the song too. I had never heard anything by them before but that song caught my attention, so I might get a few of their albums to try it out.

What do you guys recommend?
 
I'm not even sure what album I downloaded (I don't like mp3 quality, but I can't find any CD's down here in OZ).. I think someone just zipped up some of their favs, though there is a song that seem to connect straight to another..

I gota say, I love all these songs too. Even the ones in Italian!.. and the instrumental "Un fantasma tra noi".. very cool..

Any suggestions on more bands of this genre?

The first half is from their self entitled album "Lacuna Coil", the second half is from the "Unleashed Memories" album.

And Diabolical, thanks for the sugestion but I got them all. :D
 
I have heard about 5 or 6 of their songs... I can't say I like them very much... Their sound is too cheasy and contrived for my taste... I like a bit more originality in music... Then again, I find all Goth Metal to be cheasy and over the top, so there ya go...
