Well, it's not Street Legal, hence why it's not on sale currently. It is, however, disgustingly ugly.

I don't get it... seriously. Is it just another way to suck money out of people or their ego growing that much more? :dopey:

An ugly Ferrari?

Not since the Mondial has this happened.

Err, taken a good look at Ferrari's current, and recent lineup? It started to go downhill (got to say I've never been a fan of Ferrari's style in the first place, but that's another story altogether) with the 360 Modena, and it's all even more downhill from there... Enzo, 612, 575M, F430, and now this.

They could put their badge on poo and people would still buy it. Kinda like BMW, really.

I can't say I'm much of a Ferrari man either when it comes to recent models, however speaking of the Enzo, it looks really ugly in pictures, but when you see one it's worlds better. When I saw my first and only Enzo, I realised it wasn't such a bad looking car at all.

Forgot that... it's hideous.

You don't really want to spend £170,000 on a car to find people are laughing at it's looks, which are almost all it has going for it (aside from prestige and pace).

You wouldn't buy it for practicality, economy, track days/racing or anything else that you might buy, say, a Porsche for.

Or a Ho_da for that matter.

Mondial still sucks though.

Holy shat. That is ugly-ugly. Attempted F40 reincarnation?

Ugliest Ferrari of the past 15 years, hands down, the F50. Oh god that thing redefines hideosity.

I do agree with PunkRock when he says Ferarri has plunged into a downward spiral. I don't think it started with the 360 Modena though. I loved the 360 Modena. But, the Enzo? Eww.

VIPFREAK
 So could Ho_da. :dopey:

Actually, no. You'll notice sales of the RSX are considerably down when compared to sales of the Integra. It's not a nice marque, like Porsche/Ferrari/BMW/Lamborghini etc...

Much of that can be contributed to an uncalled for change of name which confused consumers, but that's a whole other issue.

As for the FXX, I don't think it's hideous. But, I fail to see a point to the car. It's not going to be in FIA competitions, it's not going to be street legal, Ferrari practically owns the cars after a buyer purchases it, so I honestly see absolutely no point whatsoever in this car. It would make a killer trackday car, but if Ferrari won't allow you to take it to certain tracks...

Ferrari insists the training is necessary, as “the wealth of data and experience gathered in the course of this very special program will be exceptionally important. In fact, the feedback from these highly skilled, non-professional client test drivers will be compared and supplemented with suggestions from Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello and Ferrari’s professional in-house test drivers
Wow, for $1.8m they'll put my paper in the same file as Schumy's! I feel so honored. That whole bit is just disgustingly sycophantic.

I don't get it...

Are they just trying to further de-value the Enzo exclusivity? Ok no, but why do you need 3 prestige supercars based on one chassis :irked:

I won't call it ugly, just pointless...

I think it's brilliant! Ferrari is certainly pushing the envelope with this car - and that's a class development.

I like everything but the headlights, wtf, did they replace the tailights with the exhaust?!

Heh,Ferrari's rendition of rice
Nope. Those spoilers are completely functional, thus making it not rice. Rice has to be a mod that is either purely cosmetic, or adds a completely negligble improvement in performance (or worse, as is often the case).

I was only kidding around:DIt would look better if they kept the lights the same as the Enzo though.

Ah, ok. Lots of people just instantly assume wing=rice. And I do agree, the car would be better off asthetically with the Enzo's headlights; the head and taillights just look weird.

Yes those headlights are my only real gripe with this car. That and the stripe. Other than that it looks exactly like an enzo to me. With some aero mods yes, but no changes to the basic shape. Also, I don't think it has tail lights. I belive those are exhaust tips. And as for the question "why", It has friggin 800 HP, thats why! :dopey:
