Hello. I was wondering what qualifies as a good laptime with the BMW M3 Coupe on Laguna Seca?

The reason why im asking is because i will participate in a offline tournament where all players must compete in a Arcade Mode, Single Race 2 Laps (all sport hard tyres) challenge for a best lap time with the BMW M3 Coupe @ Laguna Seca. I just want to know what to expect and how fast is "FAST!" :)

Set a time, beat it, beat it again, try your hardest, then beat that new time 5 times over. Around 5 tenths faster than that should be your target :)

This. Just keep inching tenths off here and there. Was doing X2010's at Monaco the other day, first lap was a 0:56.XXX after 15 laps I'd done a 0:49.810. Just keep at it and you'll see results. Best tip I could probably offer is learn how the car behaves under throttle and braking and use it to your advantage. Smooth steering and using all the road available will also help with consistency.

Assists are player chosen.

Yep, I'll be competing in the same tournament. This rule is a bummer because I hate SRF. It makes me hard to decide to use SRF or not.

My time without SRF - 1:39:6xx
With SRF - 1:38:xxx

That is good time considering my times
:-)
My goal is to get under 1:39 without SRF
What are using dualshock or a wheel?

Why withous SRF ?
With SRF 1:38:xxx
Without verry ugly...

Well I play as real as it can be and srf makes gt real easy and I'm looking for a chalenge.
Just now without SRF and only abs 1 I made a time of 1:38.495 while racing with the AI in expert level.

That is my best lap so far without srf. With srf probably a sec faster. Haven't tried.
I am using dualshock.
What do you use and what is your fastest lap whole racing with the AI?

If you want a challenge, Turn ALL assists OFF, ABS-0, Comfort Soft tires. THAT would give you MORE immersion into reality.

Thanks for the advice I pretty well know what are you talking about. But I am using dualshock and not that is impossible but it is hard for me to control the breaks :-)
Also I know that I could change the break bias.

1:37.826 in my 7th lap without SRF.
Not an exciting time, I know. I needed that many laps because I drove that bad at the beginning.

My excuse is that I just had a 3hours F1 car session and was confused by the massive differences between a F1 car on RS tyres and a stock fat M3 on SH tyres.

No need for excuses :-) that is amizing time for me. The only thing is that the first part of the tournament is racing with the ai and I was able to achieve 1:38.495.

Was your time while racing with the ai or in time trial? Just for my information.

Time trial

Thank you for your answer :-)
Well the tournament begins tomorrow and I'll try to give all my best to qualify for the finals. Probably I'll use SRF (not proud of saying this) as it is not prohibited.

Do you think that there will be lots of good times.. In my local store beside my time and my brothers there were two more but they were like above 1:40 so May be we can see each other on the finals.

Good luck!

That is also interesting at our local store before me and my cousin there was only one guy on the list. So I think there is a Big chance to meet at the finals even with my bad time :-)
