Laguna Seca Track Record Challenge
Ever wonder how your altime best lap at a certain track compared with another gamer's lap? This lap time data base is a good way to test your skills. And what better track to challenge your skills than Laguna Seca Raceway?
The Rules
As with every competition, this challenge has rules. They are simple:
-No cheating (as defined in GTF FAQ .
-No cutting chicanes.
-2 wheels on track at all times.
-Unlimited attempts.
-Only your best lap time with a certain car will be submited in each class. For example, if you get a 1:30 lap time with a Class C car then get a 1:29.839 lap time with the same car, your best time will stand and your worst will be erased.
-You may drive multiple cars in any class.
Deadline
One unique feature to this challenge is the fact that there is no deadline. This challenge could go on for years as long as the interest holds up. You can submit as many times as you like in as many different classes as you like. The top 10 times in each class will be posted on the Lap Record post imidiately following this post.
The Cars and Classes
Almost any car is allowed in this challenge. Some cars, however, have power exceeding class specifications which are as follows:
Classes:
C Class
HP: 100 HP/Ton (x0.05)
Examples: Mini 1.3, Subaru 360, Fiat 500
B Class
HP: 175 HP/Ton (x0.0875)
Examples: Toyota Supra RZ, Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan, Chevrolet Camaro SS
A Class
HP: 275 HP/Ton (x0.1375)
Examples: Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1, Dodge Viper GTS, RUF CTR2
S Class
HP: 350 HP/Ton (x0.175)
Examples: Vector M12, Venturi Atlantique
SM Class
HP: 425 HP/Ton (x0.2125)
Examples: Ford GT40, Weigert Vector W8
R Class
HP: 700 HP/Ton (x0.35)
Examples: Toyota GT One Race Car, Jaguar XJ220 Racecar
The figures after the HP limit (x0.05) stand for the number of horses per pound in each class. So, for example, to find the HP limit of a 2000 lb car being entered in the R Class, you would multiply 2000 by 0.35 to get the HP limit for your car. Any modifications are allowed for any class.
