I recently bought the racing car pack for gt5 and one of the car packs. I have been tuning the aventador and got it to do 9.1's I believe my fastest is 9.106 or 9.102 which is slow in my opinion. Although in an online room I beat mostly everyone I want to break at least 9.0 or 8.9. Each time I try to tune it, it gets slower and slower. I'm not sure where to start in the tranny to get it faster. Where do I start on trying to increase my time? Should I reset the tranny completely? Or just fine tuning to the tranny? I think my suspension is fine where it is.

Well, your best bet is to try fine tuning the suspension, trying one thing at a time, if it fails, return it to the way it was, if its faster, keep it.
For the trans I'm not very sure how to help you. I dont have the DLC with the Aventador, but more than likely you just need to tune one gear @ a time. If you think you need a better launch, start there and try to fine to to get the fastest 0-60 you can. Then try for 0-100. Eventually you will make it to where your gears are perfectly spaced and you have the best possible times and no shiftlag. Thats how I would do it personally, and infact I am about to be doing this with my GTR Spec V and my Veyron(Just incase I need it).
Hope that helps :)

Yeah man good advice. I got my 0-60 to 2 sec and my 0-100 to 3.998 I believe. I will try the one gear at a time and the suspension too. I'm not sure if my car not being broken in will affect the time much but who knows Mabye it does.

If I can recall, The difference between a car being broken in and not can be a tenth of a second or more. So if you are running a 9.1xx right now, breaking it in may drop you down to a 9.0xx, possibly even down to an 8.9xx Depending on if you get the right tune

Throw it in automatic transmission, to do the suspension

if you do it trial and error style, it should only take you 20 or so minutes to get the fastest setup.

and yeah. you need to break it in. your 0-60 is way off. by .2

if you need help with the tranny, Karo's tune has a decent one

Id suggest reading the tuning guide in this forum,
Maybe use some base transmission tunes,
Try To perfect suspension, lsd, aero, torque dis,
Then work on flipping the transmission,
If the aventador is not broken in then work on it until you hit 8.980 then break it in.
Also perfect your rpm launches!

And get used to manual. It's much faster if you can master in this car

I would go with sean advise use auto to do trial and error runs since its more consistent until you start seen the results once you start seen improvement or your comfortable with your tune run it in manual and try to master that one. And yes I believe Karo has a base tne for the Avntador you could use that as a reference. 👍

I think the Aventador's stock transmissions shifts much faster than the full-customization one.

In drag racing at least, I noticed the stock tranny people usually winning most of the time.

Never tried using a stock tranny in any car.

It's simply a method for removing the inconsistency of human error in the shifting, lots of people use it for various reasons. If you only want to use manual, just run the car 5-10 times to make sure you have the correct shift points as your ghost never lies, most cars have shift points that are almost exactly the same through all the gears, though I cannot speculate on this car because I have not tuned it yet due to it being an 8 second car i'm saving it for later.

Also being an MR there may be wheelspin in the early gears with which you might need to counter with a shorter than usual first/launch gear and early shift.

its actually 4wd.. not mr

Yeah forgot to say, it's a 'mid-mounted all wheel drive' just MR came to mind.

Stiff suspension and try a 2nd gear launch..I got mine to run 8.921

Instead of 2nd gear launch, set up transmission to do a short shift from 1st to 2nd, thats the trick to get it really fast and good times
