I wonder how many clubs one can be in? I might join in, gotta love lambo's. Hey that can be the slogan!

"Lamborghini Fan Club, Gotta Love the Lambo!"

Nice catch 1mic. Look in my sig, it explains entry into the club. In my opinion, co-founder isn't really any more than a title. But, if you want, I'll consider you. I'll wait a while before I name someone co-founder.

Have you guys heard about the Lamborghini Gallardo yet? Production hasn't begun yet, but it should soon. It tops out at 500HP and 309km/h. It's named after a breed of fighting bull.

I have some pics of that Gallardo, but they won't show up. Is there anything you have to do besides put it in the attach file box?

After I saw a Countach for the first time (back in 1985), I just couldn't go back to thinking the Ford Aerostar was a cool car.

Count me in.

I remember seeing the Lambo suv in a book I have. I think it might have only been a concept. I should go look it up.

It had a fricking v12 in it. Ill get the specs later tonight or tomorrow.

Lamborghini LM002, perhaps (I think this was it)?

It doesn't have a cool name, but gimme a V12-powered SUV any day of the week. It's funny, Lambo was really ahead of it's time...the LM002 first appeared around 1984, way before the SUV craze started, and about 15 years ahead of the concept of a luxury-SUV.

A RALLY urraco?????
daaaamn, didnt know about that one. it should be cool, tough. any PICS of it????
One of the lambos I like much is the jalpa/sillouethe (i hope its written well)... I know its not the most powerfull lambo, maybe even not the most beautiful, but I like dem very much. Also, any of you remebers the Cala??? an Italdesign concept for Lamborghini that was shown in the early nineties... it was all beauty.

Cano

and... OMG!!! an F1 CAR???? really?? tell me more!!!

This afternoon I'll give you the info on both of them. And a pic of each if I can figure out why it's not letting me add pictures to my posts.

Lamborghini entered F1 with V12 engines in 1989; with the Larrousse-enteredd Lola. The V12 was powerful, but fragile. It scored a single point with a 6th place at Jerez; Phillipe Alliot was behind the wheel. Engines appeared behind several teams' cars; Minardi, Ligier, and even a McLaren (test purposes only), but sucess was limited; the best result overall was a 3rd place by Aguri Suzuki (of JGTC fame) in the '90 Japanese GP. The Lambo V12's last F1 appearance was the '93 Aussie GP.

Here's a little about the "works team"...
Source: http://www.grandprix.com/gpe/con-moden.html

Name: Modena Team

Lamborghini Engineering entered Formula 1 in 1989 with a V12 engine designed by Mauro Forghieri. This was supplied to the Larrousse team. The following year as the engine became more competitive the company decided that it wanted to have it own chassis as well. A project was initiated with a Mexican businessman Fernando Gonzalez raising the money for what was to be called the GLAS team. The car, designed by Forghieri and Mario Tolentino began testing in the summer of 1990 but there was a setback when Gonzalez disappeared with $20m. The project was taken over by Carlo Patrucco, a former head of the Fila clothing company.

Initial testing of a prototype car was carried out by Mauro Baldi but the team then signed up Nicola Larini and Eric van de Poele with Marco Apicella nominated as the team's test driver.

The team was headed by former Minardi team manager Jaime Manca Graziedei with Tolentino and former Grand Prix driver Dave Morgan engineering the two Lamborghini 291 chassis. Some backing was found but the project remained underfunded and struggled to pre-qualify. Larini finished seventh in the opening race in Phoenix. In San Marino van de Poele made his only start for the team and was running fourth until his car failed in the closing laps.

Lack of money meant that the promising project closed down at the end of the year and Lamborghini returned to the role of engine supplier.

I'd be no club member at all if I didn't provide a photo of the car.

That's a pretty sweet pic. I bet that thing has some giddyup. Which one is that from? I have a bunch of sweet Lambo pics myself but for some reason, I can't post any on here.

Ok, I like Lambos and there is a couple inaccuracies and some random bits of info i would like to interject.
1. The countach limo is not an actual Lamborghini, meaning that it was not actually made in that form by Lamborghini. It's just converted by an aftermarket limo company, trying to attract stupid rich people with no taste (thats my opinion anyway). Same with the Koenig Diablo.
2. The Cala was a Italedesign project that was slated at one time to go into production alongside the Diablo. It never progressed beyond the show car stage.
3. The Marzal, Althon, Bravo, and Portofino were all just concepts, and not actual Lamborghinis, excepting the Bravo (sort of). The Marzal progressed later into the Espada. The Bravo was going to go into production, but like the Cala, it never was.
4. The various LM's were all descended from the Cheetah, a Hummer look-alike, that Lamborghini originally made in order to get a military contract, believe it or not.
