Hey all.

After seeing dice1998 and HE1RO build PC's, I had the temptation to spend thousands and build my own for no reason. Eventually, I came up with a very good reason to build a PC. I want to play games that look like heaven. So here I am with my first ever build.

Here is my cart: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=25162147 - Notice the missing graphics card, I'll be buying it this week as I'll have funds coming in. Depending on how much I can spend, it'll either be a Sapphire 7970 or an MSI twin frozr 680. I was eager to build it so I am using the Intel 4000 graphics (which sucks by the way).

Imgur wouldn't rotate some of the pics, so sorry about that.

Leave some feedback for me! :D

Are you just testing the components before you "install" them? ;)

Ok, you're wires are seriously hurting my head. You can hide literally 90% of those wires in less than 10 minutes. Seriously. Ok, look at the holes in the motherboard plate, just to the right of the PSU, just past the bottom edge of the motherboard. Now, all the cables that are running up need to go into that hole, thereby routing all your wires behind the motherboard and out of site. Bring the wires out of holes closest to their component or I/O. I bet you even have tie down spots on the back of the motherboard tray. Something to remember..... If you have to apologize for it, you should probably address it.

Outside of that, it looks like you have some nice components there that should last you a while!

lol I like how there is so many warnings. Tittle says warning about pics than inside is a warning about crap cable placement. Looks cool tho.

Well one thing for sure, you can route the CPU power cable behind the motherboard and over the top. You should also route that USB header cable(the one that's in the bottom left corner) all of the way to the bottom cutout. It might be tight but you should be able to do it.

Seriously..Take the 5 mins and do some cable management. It'll help you big time when/if you start overclocking.

It'll also look 9072% better when you want to look inside.

Some nice parts there mate, should serve you well for a while to come. 👍
As you yourself admit and others have said, the cable management needs some work though. It's not hard just think about it and take your time if need be. By the looks of it the Corsair 300R has some good cable management options.

I'm far from an expert (only one full build myself) but my system has some very similar parts to yours. My case is a 400R though but the run options for the cables look very similar.

Here's mine (not perfect) as an idea of the cable runs. This pic here is down the track a little bit with another GPU added.

Good luck. 👍

Cheers Shaun.

I plan on getting two more fans for the top and two for the side panel.

Bless you! :) That is much, much better and your system will thank you for it! :)
