Couldn't see a thread for this anywhere so thought I'd make one. I was practicing for todays Nation Cup race at Dragon Trail with the Lancer Evo N300 and my first few "good" laps were over 2 seconds slower than the European lap record, so I went to look at the fastest lap replay and noticed that they had ABS off and were also getting much more speed than me down the straights, over 5mph at some points. So I went back in and for no apparent reason switching off ABS makes the Evo much faster in a straight line, it has nothing to do with corner exits or anything like that it's simply faster. Once I had got used to not locking up I improved my time to 0.5 seconds faster than the European lap record, a whole 2.7 seconds faster than what I was doing with ABS on.
I've spoken to a few people I know and they've only found it's worked with the Evo, but I was wondering if anyone here had found any other cars where this happens?
