This challenge is nice because it let's me use the one notable skill I have (or think I do), smoothness and efficient aggressiveness. I turn hard, but I am able to maintain decent speeds, sometimes I'm at about 110 mph (177 kph) through the first tunnel.

Some nice times coming in there...had a quick go again the other day and came up with a 8:05.407.......starting from 6th on the grid :odd: As it looks like most people are qualifying for this race I will do the same and come back with an improvement. :p

What worries me is that it seems I may have a modest hp disadvantage, at least, since I had to drive several miles to get 348. I guess Holland is using a prize car. I bought mine from the dealership.
 
O.k. What is the deal here?
I've been noticing that some of you have been doing quialifying before the race. Have you all decided to qualify and start in the front of the field for the race?
IMO, all racers should start from the back of the field.

It might be a challenge, but since the cars aren't even, I don't see enough of a point in momentary torture with cars that are made of steel and you driving the feather car. Remember how this game works, the ai can barely be budged, your are an ant. Besides, peope qualify in real life. Plus, I'd rather not have to reset the game every time I can cars that block me from getting a good line or punt me out of a turn.
 
I thought that if the possibility of qualifying was there, you could use it.

I've never seen any official rules about that, to be honest. I may be wrong.
