I think that the language on the forums is getting a little out of hand, especially in the Comedy Corner section. For example, the 2 threads (sorry guys) the Super Mario video and the Stories of a Street Sweeper, while funny, and great reads and video, do have a lot of adult language. Considering that I'm listening to a dirty song right now, and that I curse a lot in real life and sometimes on these forums (having gotten an infraction for it just last night), this may be hypocrisy, but I just want to feel safe when clicking on a link from GTP that it does not have words like the f-word or other language in it.

Thanks :)

Both of those threads had language warnings on them and you are required to put one on a link if contains content like that. Also you should throw up NWS tags.

Erm... "feel safe"? Sorry, but if you listen to a bunch of rap music and curse like a sailor on the street, you've already been desensitized – and thus have nothing to worry about.

Personally, if someone links to a funny video that has bad language in it – but has a warning – then I see no problem.

Of course, the mods may feel differently, so take my opinion as an opinion.

Considering this is an open forum to the public, The offensive language is something I have always gleamed the cube on and in my earlier days at GTP I have been warned by the mods over language content. If the mods find something offensive or not up to a standard that portrays how the forum should run they do their job to take care of the issue.

In the event that you feel that the adult content is going over the border, just report it ot a mod and let them sort them out.

Yep, that's all there is to it.

I'm not overly bothered about the posting of links to videos etc that contain strong language, so long as these are accompanied with a language warning. Actually, I would prefer the use of the becoming-standard "NSFW" designation (not safe for work), as this quite accurately conveys the appropriacy of a posting.

I have, however, found that the use of so called "mild" swear words ("piss", particularly) in posts is getting out of hand.
