I've been bringing together all my car stuff lately (after getting a new hard drive to hold it on) and I've been looking at getting more things to add to the collection. I've been taking looks at eBay and Duke Video, looking for things I don't have and I found a 2 DVD edition called Lap of the Gods. It sounds like it could be really good but I was just wondering if anyone else has got this or has seen it before, and if so, is it worth buying?

Also, I'm looking to get some Can-Am stuff (I don't have any at the moment, but from what I've read about it it sounds very interesting). If anyone could provide links to Can-AM VHSs or DVDs I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Hopefully this post (and any replies that follow) won't be considered advertising by the Mods.

edit: I also wondered which was the most appropriate sub-forum for this thread, but since it mainly concerns F1 I stuck it in here. Hopefully it's in the right place.

Got it in this morning. Only watched one of the laps so far, I'm ripping it just now (but not to pirate it, don't worry  ). I've seen a couple of the laps before (Patrick Depallier at Monaco and Montreal), but the rest are all new and the quality of the couple that I've previewed is amazing considering the videos were taken in the 1970s and 1980s with fairly primitive onboard cameras.

Definitely worth the money!

So, any other suggestions for F1/CanAm (or other) DVDs/VHSs, please?

I have a video called "In-car rally experiance" which basically runs stages on board with drivers from the 1996 pre wrc season (asia pacific rounds, testing etc) and its a very good watch.

Sounds great. Is this it?

Dunno where to get Le Mans vids...

I got my Can-Am DVD in yesterday and the In-Car Rally one this morning. The Can-Am one was a big disappointment, the one I picked wasn't as I'd wanted. It was just a lot of modern footage of the old cars with interviews from the current owners. I wanted footage of the original races, interviews with the original drivers. If I get one again I'll be sure to try to find out exactly what's on it.

The Rally one, however, is fantastic. I've only watched the first disc (Barcelona qualifying is on in 20 mins and I've got exams to study for), but so far it's great. Well worth the money. Thanks for recommending it, Ashley 👍
