Lap times database

Hi all,
Some of you may know Ive just got an x-port and have started on my way through the lap times boards at www.racingline.org (I put the link in case you havent been to Racing Line before)
I was thinking that GTP could do with its own database for course times and records, we already have lots of information in the weekly race threads for lap times etc....
GTP is perfect but its just that I have to log out and visit another site to post my times etc I thought that having a boards system here would make GTP even more perfect and encourage people to stay, rather than visiting other boards (which I know they would still probably do).

I know it would more than likely be a HUGE task but I thin kit would be worth it and it would make GTP an even bigger and better GT website. 👍
 
Yeah, I've always wanted to add something like that but it would be quite an undertaking. Could be something to look forward to in the future, you never know. ;)
 
Well I hope so Jordan, I think you know it would increase GTP's profile and keep a lot of members here with us !

ps If you need anyone to manage the times submissions etc ..... you know where I am !
 
Yes, I'd love this idea, it would be great for GTP to have it's own times board.
 
Although both GTPlanet and GTDB database are in the linkbar of my Mozilla browser,

I would love to see that GTP has it's own database!! I would be happy with an afternoon of entering all my times again! Meaning I like the idea but it should not cover GT4 only...

Would it be too much to include all the gt's so far ? Would it be better to start off with GT3 and add GT4 to it when it finally arrives ?

Of course it would include every game.
 
well it should include every game - I thought that maybe it would have been too big a job to include all the GT's.

So by the way you are posting Jordan this sounds like something you have thought of before, and think would be a good idea ??
 
I'm all for it. Even though I'm not that good (not good enough to post at any of the sites that you have listed), I would post them up here as I am a regular member and I would like to see how I stack up against my fellow GTP'ers.
