Laraki is back? I liked their old cars, but they never made it to production. What has changed for this attempt?

Also, the old Felgura concept was built on a Lamborghini chassis, now the new car is on a Corvette chassis and the price has skyrocketed. :boggled:

I'm not saying anyone is buying it because it has corvette roots, me stating my opinion =/= why people are going to buy it. I know what they are and my opinion still stands.
Then why are you even proposing that a Z06 built by a performance shop for less money is an alternative to this?
Yes I saw the two gas tanks, and what not how does that help sway me? Well what brakes do you expect it to have carbon ceramic? Gearbox could be anything and suspension could be anything, but I'd guess it as their engineered version of push rod system. I read the article I'd appreciate it you don't come off that handle just because I don't like every super or hyper car you automatically seem drawn to.
I'm not trying to sway you of anything. You're making it out that the entire car is sourced from a C6 just because of the engine & chassis.

If you read the article, why did you pose these concerns in multiple posts?
How are they making 1100+ out of an LS7 surely not forced induction.
I told you it was forced induction & you replied,
Yeah I saw it after I posted, my issue still sits with thin walls and sleeved cylinders. I'm sure they had to rework the engine to make twin turbos work, I mean if it was an LS3 I could easily understand FI being used, but there are issues with the LS7 and GM has noted this. Just saying it isn't as easy as strapping a turbo on each bank doing plumbing and that is it, or a supercharger.
This is where I don't believe you read anything. Because if you did read it was forced induction, you wouldn't have made your next post about the internals since that was answered right before the mention of the turbochargers.
The 7.0-liter Chevy V8 has been given all new internals and hooked up to a pair of identical turbochargers

Once again I read it and I just am not impressed, get over it. Oh guess what, I think it's a glorified corvette underneath. Yes they did build glorified Elises, though I wouldn't lump Tesla in the same group as that joke Hennessey.
Who makes a follow up question about the internals when that question should have been answered the moment you said that you read it was forced induced?

And you claim I'm coming off the handle with a response like that. Sounds like you're the one getting upset because you can't piece your thoughts together.

But, the end fact here is that it's not a glorified Corvette. A chassis & an engine doesn't make this a Corvette. Callaways are glorified Corvettes, this is a coach builder car that's actually appearing to take the time with the details. Is it worth $2 million, hard to say, but that doesn't change things about the car itself. Whether or not that impresses you doesn't add some sort of validity to your opinion. That's all I'm going to continue with based on your past responses.

It is an alternative for those who like building a car or having one built up that is just as fast and nimble for significantly less money. However, that is my opinion and I can think of 20 cars that I personally seeing being worth the money that is below the cost of this car. However, people that are going to buy this are going to see an investment - I don't see it growing - and uniqueness I suppose that will help them stand out.

Unless I said it then I wasn't making it out to be that way. More so I only keep repeating the glorified aspect because it seems to irritate you :sly:.

Because I still had concerns, an article doesn't assure me how detailed this car is going to be from a company that was known of 15 years ago (If I remember correctly) and here again and still not known.

I did read it after I posted, and didn't edit it, stuff happens and I still have concerns. If you don't want to believe me that's fine I did read it even though you posted a few times in replies that you still don't believe me but since that time I've read it several times and even looked around to get more detail.

Obviously I did...:guilty:

I'm quite calm, the only reason I say that you seem to be irritated is because any super car thread I go to if it isn't me it's someone else you seem to have issue with some people just no liking certain cars. I think the car is ugly it reminds me of a Crossfire SRT6 just bigger more sculpting, the engine package reminds me of things I've seen from many well established groups. I'm not seeing anything that would make me dream of working toward a car like this. I don't think it is worth 2 million. Also what validity do I need, it's an opinion not me trying to sell it as fact. Once again just stating what I think about a car on a forum, if you like it that's cool but the Laraki Corvette isn't for me :sly:

So you're telling me this isn't like the MR2 Ferrari from the questionable mods thread? :sly:

Wait wat? The Hennessey is the joke. I don't think Bugatti is laughing much.:sly:

Let's keep it real here, how big a joke is a electric car with two seats and no trunk/boot. Pretty useless if you ask me, I couldn't even go grocery shopping with it. They're both glorified Elise's, ones just really really fast.:)

Oh I see what you did there, Laraki F430 you say :sly:

You know you want one Har Har

Most sports cars you can't go grocery shopping with not really seeing your point. And though you are being sarcastic Hennessey is pretty much a fraud. I agree both are Elise but I think a lot more true engineering went into the Tesla.

Also....this guy gets it :dopey::sly:

Yeah he get's it, but he agrees with McLaren at the same time. It's reengineered far beyond it's Corvette roots. Price wise it's up to the buyers, but there does seem to be a market for these things.

Right but EV's can go to the grocery store, see my point.:sly: Tesla roadster a sports car, well, that's a matter of opinion I guess.

Will-I-am or whatever his name is? Paid 1,000,000 for something based off a bug, a BUG!?! This surly must be better. Nearly twice as good I think :dopey:

2 million for a "pimp my ride" Vette. Sounds like more money than brains.

This ^

Then buy an EV for shopping, I doubt those that bough the roadster were thinking about how they could pile in their bulk shopping from Costco.

Yeah he does think it is reengineered but I don't think it is in line with McLaren, because he even calls it basically a 1750 horse power Vette and that is something McLaren has just been arguing against.

Of course not! They bought it thinking, Oh oh oh I'm so cool and trendy, wait until my friends see what I bought.:dopey:

The same reason the Epitome might sell. Like the Tesla roadster it has zero practical uses.

I´m pretty sure that thing is inspired by a Hotwheels... I had one that was extremely similar to it...

Anyway, it's an extremely good looking car :)
