Recently in Beijing, the local government started enforcing a ban on "large and vicious" dog breeds - any breed standing over 13.7 inches tall - including golden retrievers, Labs, collies, Dalmatians, basically any similar breed, which the authorities deem "unfit for city living". Don't believe me? Read this article and find out.

Well it is china.

What can the people do?
Complain?
Vote the government out?

Expect an upturn in the exports of meat pies from China in 3, 2, 1...

It is not just violent dogs.

They say large dogs do not belong in the city.

Always blame the dogs (for their violent attitudes), not the owners.
Dogs are just like any other animal and can snap at any time no matter how great the "owner" is. Just like people that are at zoos training and raising lions, tigers, bears. An animal is an animal. The bigger the animal, the more dangerous it is. Just because an "owner" raises an enormous bear does not mean its safe. The ban on larger animals makes perfect sense to me. Especially with their crowded population.
