Last day in the GTP...

I'd like to start out by saying that you people are awesome (and that's not why I'm leaving). The only reason I might be leaving is that I couldn't post any attachments. My ISP said they had the page blocked, and I reported it to them asking them to add access for that page, but in turn, they decided to be cruel and mean and cut me off from all communication with my friends (aka you guys). So, I'm not sure if they blocked the whole forums, or just that page, but I'm typing this thread because this may be my last day in the GTP (we'll see tomorrow after the proxy gets updated). please don't think anything wrong, and a slight request to jordan: if you changed the URL from "forums.gtplanet.net" to "forum.gtplanet.net", I'd be set (they'd only have the URL as forums blocked). This may be my last thread in the GTP (if My ISP blocked the whole thing and if Jordan can't change the URL). so this is Goodbye (maybe).
 
I know, And I've tried the talking to them, but they won't listen (ask jordan about them; they're way overzealous about everything). My access level is not at Full access, and therefore I'm not supposed to be able to talk to people (and I can't change my access level, or my ISP cuz my dad's the only one who can control that). Like I said, this may or may not be goodbye, but I'm assuming the worst (in which case this is my last day in the GTP).

Try accessing the site on www.gtplanet.net/forums. Err, OK, that doesn't work, but there is a way to the forums without using the subdomain...

yeah, he's really strict. About that subdomain..., how does one access the forums without it?

Yes, but as soon as the redirection kicks in, you are trying to access the URL that's blocked. You would need Jordan to obtain another URL that points to the same place. You could maybe ask Jordan for the IP address of the server, and access it that way...
 
It seems like everyone likes you, why don't you just ask someone when you want to upload an attatchment to do it for you. Not being able to post pics wouldn't be the end of GTP for me...
 
just talk to your dad...just tell him what the problem is...he will probably change it. If he doesn't, I suggest finding out the password for your dad's SN, and changing it yourself. No questions asked.

Anyway...my dad put me on full access as soon as we got AOL...he first put me on the level down but I couldn't go anywhere...so he changed it.

But you're forgetting. I'm not leaving because I want to (Heck, if I could, I would stay here until the day I died). I'm leaving because I may be forced out by my ISP.

Hey, what's the email addy of your local ISP? I'll send them a letter if you want. Sometimes that can go a long way if it's worded correctly.
 
is there anything i can do? Jspec07? HERE, GIVE ME THE ISPs EMAIL ADDRESS THEN I WILL COMPLAIN TO THOSE SICK BASTARDS! OR ANYONE WHO WORKS THERE IF THAT IS POSSIBLE!

don't complain... that wont help him... the only thing to do is give a letter of support... but jpec isn't here to give us an email address.
