What the 🤬 is goin on with the new update? I can't use any of the special races ie. karting, top gear etc. and the game intermittently won't play with sound. It's driving me mental ( no pun intended) is there going to be a new patch soon?

Well I think new patch doesn't help you with that.
1.Try without internet connection.
2.Try reinstal game (Not from XMB menu, There is reinstal option in gamemenu)
3.There is something wrong with your PS3 system (My old fat lost sounds before reader gone broke)
 
Try clearing your network cache. Then, if that doesn't work, disconnect your console from the internet.
 
And if the above dont work, Delete your game Data and re-install. DO NOT delete your save game date but do a quick save prior to above.
 
I never had a problem with any of this before I did the update. I'll try those things first and see what happens. Cheers for the input
 
Yeah I made an account to ask this question. I had to delete all of the game content, preserved my saves of course, but it worked. What a bloody hassle.
