LCD for GT4

I'm thinking of getting an LCD TV for my room (where I have the PS2 set up for GT4). Currently I have a 13 inch CRT TV that's old and flickers (to give you an idea of the crappiness, the TV's only input is a single coax). I'm not exactly rich, so my budget is around $300 USD. I'm looking at some 15 inch LCD's that are capable of 480p. Any suggestions?

My CRT flickers a lot, people say it is the Res and HZ it is in. But thats not true either on the highest HZ it can go to while on 1024x768 it still flickers.

Good luck finding a good LCD Racer.

Well, for that budget, you're only really not going to get anything decent. The only thing for £150 over here, are brands like "Cello" and "Symphonic" etc, in other words, stuff you find on offer in your supermarket or grocery store.

My advice is to take a look on ebay. There's some great bargains to be had on there.

If you don't like the idea of going second hand, i suggest getting the best CRT TV you can get for that money - you'll get a much better quality TV.

Seconding Jon's suggestion on a CRT. Cheap LCDs are usually pretty ugly, and a 15" screen will only be usable from a couple of feet away (especially when playing fast games like GT4). 27" CRTs are around $300 these days, and I think you'll find the larger screen easier on the eyes even if it isn't progressive scan. I don't think progressive scan would make much of a difference on a 15" display anyway.

Finding space for a 27", however....

I'm with the last two as well. I've been playing GT4 on an older LCD-TV through component inputs (best possible signal), and it was ... not good to say the least. With a good LCD the picture is alright though, but you won't get that for $300. So, I also recommend a nice CRT-TV.
