I decided on 1 class (LMP1) for simplicity and competition.
There will be 3 different cars and only 3 of each car available. More will be made available if there is demand. As of now these are the cars, drivers, and the power/weight specs*:

The race will be in Arcade mode for 4 reasons:
1. It is easier to equalize the cars with Arcade's power/weight settings
2. There is no need to worry about car setup
3. Speed penalty for contact with cars/walls
4. Custom laps and competition.
The race specs are not final but I am thinking:
- Arcade mode
- Circuit de la Sarthe I
- No. of Laps: 30
- Tire Wear: Mild
- Driving Aids: TCS only (if desired)
- Time Limit: None
- Tires available: soft and super soft tires are illegal. You are allowed to use only 2 sets of medium tires. You have unlimited hard and superhard tires.
- AI strenght -10. That is negative ten
I did testing with the above 3 cars with those settings and came up with these lap times:
Audi R8 - 3.22.5
Peugeot 905 - 3.22.7
Pescarolo '04 - 3.23.0
To ensure that these cars are equal I will hold an open hotlap/qualifying competition until June 1, 2007. This will be done to expose any strengths are weaknesses a car may have. In order to qualify you must sign up for one of the cars that has an empty seat. Simply tell me in a post which car you want.
Qualifying will be done using Racing Medium Tires ONLY in Aracde Mode > Time Trial.
The Hot lap/qualifying competition is for fun and for figuring out how to equal the cars. So post your times openly, split times if you want to as well.
After qualifying the cars should be equal and you will be allowed to run the race from June 1-13, 2007. (race specs and car specs are not finalized so dont bother racing it now)
If you have any suggestions on the car specs and/or the race itself feel free to tell me about it. I will make the proper adjustments.
