Done it once allready with a detuned X2010 now want to do it again and with a proper LM car im looking ot the R10 either from dealership or stealth version.
Now what i want to know is this car stays out a lot longer and needs less fuel in re4al life, does this happen in the GT5 race or go tyres make it come at the same time as A1.

I have no idea about the tires but I'm pretty sure the fuel would last longer
 
Fuel lasts longer in the diesel powered LM cars 908/R10, tires usually give up earlier though, but once you pit in, you will need to load less fuel compared to the petrol LM cars. Since it seems to take like 1sec per liter loaded, If you need 10 less liters per stint you will gain those seconds in the pitlane.

Only saying, people keep putting A1 instead of Ai. It was only a tip.

What dark_ruffo said about refuelling is true, it does take a long time and if you need less fuel per pit stop then you save time

Thanks and didnt realise the 908 was diesil and have both LOL.

And you obviously dont drive trhe A1 here much as most of it has been re-tarmacked and nearly all the roundabouts taken out.

I like the 908 looks better. And the cockpit view too. You feel like driving the Batmobil.

Cool. also considering the Maclaren F1 road car that should make a very tight race.

Don't ! you'll get wet on the rain it's not covered. lol
No problem with the fuel - the A.I . are so slow you'll overtake them on the first corner on the start. You'll be ahead like 240 laps at the finish line. Using Soft tires is even better than Intermediate or Wets - unbelievable. If you get past the pit lane and needs to re-fuel, just make a U-turn no cops or penalty incurred. PD should make A.I. cars more competitive. Really.
More enjoyment using Peugeot 908 in car view - so much better than the R10.
Can't believe people use X1 to races. X1 should be gone, as GT5 is the "Real Driving Simulator".

Read the OP again, im not using a X2010 so dont think in a R10 or Maclaren im going to get a 240 lap lead in fact you have you figures totally wrong as i dont think you could get 240 laps lead in the X2010. A1 did 378 laps last time i did it and you reckon 240 lap lead so you did 618 laps ? thats roughly 1 min 40 secs per lap not inc fuel stops YEH Right your dreaming LOL.

And im looking for a competive race not a walk over hence the F1.

My Bobs finished the 24hrs this afternoon, using the X2010. They were 141 laps ahead of No2
