(Thread under creation)

-Le Mans Series
-Each race will have 8 GT cars and 8 LMP cars
-Neither the GT or LMP classes will be split into sub-classes
-Races will last between 1 hour and 2 hours depending on the race and what the entrants feel is best
-The calender will consist of between 6 and 8 rounds depending on how successful the series is in the early races.
-The races will most likely be held in early-mid afternoon on Sundays however when the Grand Prix season begins, this will change slightly depending on the time of the Grand Prix.
-The lobby will open an hour before the race. During this one hour period, the track will be fully open for practice. Qualifying will begin twenty minutes before the race. Once qualifying ends, the race will begin. All GT cars must be on track and conforming to the regulations at the start of qualifying and may not leave the track. This rule does not apply to LMP cars but it is expected to be followed anyways.
-The regulations for each class will ensure that the cars in each class are close in performance. Following extensive testing, regulations will be finalized.

Please add both your PSN name and what class you wish to race in below.

I'm watching this.

I will be keeping my eye on this one ;) .

I'll smarten up the thread when it gets a few sign ups.

Very interested in the GT class:)

LMP1 for me :sly:

Very interested in the GT class:)

at least someone will be in my class :)

I have started testing out GT cars everyone. Looking like the cars are will be tuned down to the point where they are as slow as the BMW M3 E92. Looking at Ferrari 458, V12 Vantage, GT-R, ZR1 and a few others.

I am thinking to make the GT cars a tad slower than IRL so that the lapping for the LMP cars begins early in the race and carries on for the whole thing. Hopefully they will cover 60% of the LMP distance.

The LMP cars will also be made a bit faster than real life.

Imagine a race where the GT field is close for all 8 drivers. The LMP cars would be lapping all 8 at once :D

Might change the name to Le Mans Series to boost sign ups.

Watching...

I'm also quite interested. Could you give me a little list of the gt cars that will be available?

Still in the process of testing. Expect:
-BMW M3 E92
-Corvette ZR1
-Aston Martin V12 Vantage
-Maybe a Lambo
-Nissan GT-R
-Maybe a Jaaaaaaaaag
-Ferrari 458/430

I'd like to drive the Ferrari 458 if they're in equal performance :)

If this can be done by me i will take the Audi r8 lmp 05' :D

Jfilyaw. toyota GT-1(LMP)

Waiting for more information about race time and tracks. I'm very interested in GT class.

How about race versions of Corvette, Ford GT, Audi R8, Nissan GTR TC, and BMW M3 GTR? 1300kg, 550bhp?

That doesn't sound too bad.

Audi R8!!! I knew something was missing

What will happen is I will get a bunch of cars together and then as tsting goes on, any cars that simply can't become balanced will be dissalowed however there will still be roughly 4-6 GT cars to choose from. Just depends on which ones get scrapped.

Send a friend request to golfer199 on PSN and I will do some testing most of the day on saturday

I did a similar thing, but with 1300-62kg and 450-500bhp across those cars, put wings on them all, and the Ford GT and R8 had a clear advantage over the rest of the pack, 3rd place was a R35, i did tests on Laguna Seca, Nurburgring GP/F, and SPA. The Mclaren MP4-12C, M3, Gallardo, and Vantage where at a disadvantage, but i am yet to test with PP settings.

The problem, is some of the Aero on each car is different, and the Ford GT has some clear PP advantage, even with the same BHP, weight and Downforce.

But the cars i would recommend for the top 4(example 2 cars per team), would be the Nissan, Ford, Audi and Ferrari(458 italia)

I was doing this, so i could start my own GT comp, but there was around 3.5 secs across all cars, about 4 at SPA. I also didn't want to start my own race series, because i know, people will sign up, better never show up.

But who knows, maybe you will get better results. I'll wait and see. But i think with the downforce, and Race looking models, it would suit it better, especially with The LMP cars. It would look better i reckon.
