I always keep seeing Nurburgring lap time charts, so I started a le sarthe board because it is a very commonly used benchmark and is also the track used in the extremely popular Ferrari seasonal!

Categories:

Road car: Only wheel and tire upgrades allowed! Exception: cars that have a legitimate wing (Viper ACR, Murcialago Superveloce) can have adjustable wing. Cars that have a well known factory road going package that is a wing and/or diffuser (Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, McLaren F1 Aerodynamics package) can be considered stock. Note: R390 road car has 550hp in real life, I will consider a 550hp R390 stock as long as the upgrades stop there

Track/Club cars:
Any road car with upgrades that are limited to: Aerodynamics, CF hood, chip, air filter, catalytic converter, suspension, transmission, clutch, flywheel, LSD, 4wd power transfer, and driveshaft. Stock Mazda Furai, Pagani Zonda R, and tuners are considered track cars. Note: Race Car tuners not included.

Race cars: any car not in the above categories EXCEPT tuned LMP/Group C, F1/FGT, X2010/X2011

Ultimate!: anything too good to be a race car!

Ferrari times:***

Above are run on Le sarthe 2005/2009 WITH chicanes!
Below are on '05/'09 NO chicanes!

Classic Le Mans:
STOCK race cars from before 1970
1. Ford Mk IV race car 3:32.978 (FordMKIVJ5)

Group C special: Group C cars (please tell if tuned)

Mulsanne speed runs: any car, top speed!

Does proof need to be provided?
I've run a 3.32.978 on La Sarthe 2009 (NC). Did run a 3.32.5xx but crossed over on of the last corners too much and it turned red :(.
Both on RH tires.

Not really, but if it seems too good it won't be put on the wall. What car? If it's a group c car or pre1970 car it will be posted! If not tell me the speed and I'll post the time and speed!

Nice thread, but '05 and '09 are NOT the same, the Ferrari Seasonal is messed up with low prices, and La Sarthe is not really a good test track.

Oh right, damn I forget to post what car .
You could probably take an educated guess though.

Yes it's the Ford MKIV.

The similarities are enough to not need a board for each version. Its a good benchmark because almost everyone knows what is considered a good lap time on this track, its easy to master, it's easy to run clean laps, it's long enough to show small differences in performance, and one of the most important endurance races in the game is on this track
