Leaderboards and online car auctions

Brand new to GT5, wonder if someone can tell me where I can view online leaderboards and the online car car auction?

Online Leaderboards are under seasonal events, click on the podium icon.
There are no auctions of any kind. Used Car Dealer, Online Car Dealer, and the ability to trade cars under a 1M cap.

Adrenaline means that there is no auction of any kind in GT5, there are only dealerships, as in real life, where you can buy cars from.

There are 3 in total

New Car Dealership (NCD)
Online Car Dealership (OCD)
Used Car Dealership (UCD)

GT5 does not have a car auction like Forza or to be more precise it does not have a marketplace like Forza.

In GT5 you buy cars from the NCD (New car dealership), OCD (On-line car dealership) or UCD (Used car dealership). All of which you access from your home page. The other way is to makes friends with folks on-line and you can gift cars but that's is limited to one car per day and it must be less than 1,000,000 credits.

Thanks. I was hoping to get some cr's somehow, I don't have much time to work my way through the career mode, getting frustrated 'trying' to get the cars I need just to complete the damn beginners challenge...

Go and do seasonal races, the pay out is huge compared to career mode and the layout for your car to enter is minimal.

I did the indy car one and got together over 200,000 cr's in a matter of 15 mins, that made it a lot quicker!

I had been playing forza for the past year (just sold xbox), got quite good at that but Gt5 is completely different. Just a shame you can't race other peoples ghost cars. I have no idea how good or bad my times are 👎

Every two weeks PD release a Time Trial seasonal race (the next one is tomorrow). I encourage you to enter as they will give you a really good idea of where you stand in terms of raw pace with other users.

There's quite a bit of difference between GT and Forza, I'm an addict of both and the ability to race against a ghost is pretty neat in Forza but you'll get the same thing in the seasonal TT albeit that you can only get the ghost from one of the top 10 on the on-line leader-board.

Your lap time will be recorded and you'll see clearly how god/bad you are, give it a go 👍

The other way to gauge yourself is by joining the WRS here on this site and I really recommend that. It will add another dimension to your game and introduce you to some genuinely fast and helpful guys.

Anyone at any level can enter you just need the credits to buy an appropriate car and you are all set. It's a great way of finding out quickly how competitive you are. If you do try the seasonal races then please check out the Seasonal Events forum on here. A new thread is started for each TT and you will get heaps of advice and help.
