Turned up in the mail this morning - this thing kicks arse!!

I can watch TV and surf the web - well, I could before, on the laptop, but now with the 21 inch monitor, decent keyboard and the TV screen tucked away in the corner, woo hoo, much more comfortable.

I will need to pick up an S-Video cable for the PS2, so that's next weekend's pick-up - then we'll see some GT3 videos.

Great! Now you can create some GTC videos as well :)
Wanna colaborate and make a cool GT3/GTC video?

Tell a lie - hooks straight in via a video cable.

Appreciate your enthusiasm, Y2TUSCAN - let's crawl before we run...

Does you TV card have a s-Video in?
Mine has and you use the phono ends of the crappy scart cable that comes with the PS2.

Oh I forgot you need some sort of video editing software, unless your TV card comes with it.

Are you recording it with compression on the fly?
I cant do that or it drops frames, I have to record completely uncompressed (lets just say about 4 mins of video is 1.5gb)

Also try to "aquire" sonic foundry vegas video, its a really good video editing program.

It does drop frames - wmv files also look like the lens has been smeared with vaseline. What sort of file size are you uploading to GTPlanet?

You should record it completely uncompressed, that way it wont drop any frames whatsoever. I use either 512 kbps wmv or 1megabit wmv. So I think you may be encoding in the lowest quality. My 55 sec lap was bout 3.2mb and the longest video was the DVD rip review that was bout 18mb for 4 mins these were all 512kbps so people can also stream the videos.
