Legend Dealership Car Buying Advice

I've decided this will be a game I plan to be a completionist about and eventually will buy every single car. I am currently sitting at 8.1 million credits and could put in the work to get one of the 2 vehicles that are both 14 million or more at the Legend Dealership. For the past month, I have been buying every car under 2 million that shows up at either dealership that I don't own. But being selective about anything 2 million and up in case something better is about to be listed. I have listed what I have left to buy over 2 million below and I have 2 questions.

1. Do you think the Ferrari 250 GTO'62 or the Jauguar XJ13 '66 are good enough to grab now and I shouldn't wait a couple of months?

2. I have an Enzo engine sitting in my inventory which can only be used to swap with the Ferrari F40 '92. My question is do you think it is worth it to buy 2 of the F40 when it hits the dealership again? I would need to buy 2 if I wanted both the swapped version and the original engine.

What I have left:
20,000,000 Ferrari 250 GTO '62
20,000,000 Ferrari 330 P4 '67
20,000,000 Mercedes Benz 300 SL (W194) '52
20,000,000 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Touring Berlinetta '38
18,000,000 Porsche 917K '70
13,000,000 Mercedes-Benz S Barker Tourer '29
12,000,000 Jaguar XJ13 '66
10,000,000 Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion '97
8,400,000 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto '61
6,750,000 Ford Mark IV RAce Car '67
6,000,000 Jaguar D-type '54
4,000,000 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Racer Concept '59
3,750,000 Alfa Romeo GIULIA TZ2 carrozzata da ZAGATO '65
3,550,000 Ferrari GTO '84
3,500,000 Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone Prototype '67
3,500,000 Mercedes-Benz Sauber Mercedes C9 '89
3,300,000 Ferrari F40 '92
3,000,000 Jaguar XJR-9 '88
2,500,000 Porsche Carrera GTS (904) '64
2,000,000 Nissan R92CP '92
2,500,000 Honda RA272 '65

I collected all the cars without extreme grinding (meaning just running the big 4 over and over) to get there but it took from launch to this summer. Once I committed to buying everything, I focused on lowest to highest (debt snowball style) cost cars picking up duplicates I wanted for fun because that’s the main reason I put so much time into it anyway. I don’t recall ever using either of the cars you mentioned in GT7 once I got them. The XJ13 in GT5 or 6? The Ferrari is a pig. I can tell you that much. The F40 is probably my favorite car in the game, top 5 for sure. I’d definitely get one to swap. Hope that helps.

TLDR? Wait to buy those 10M plus cars until later. Get a second F40 asap.

These are the only cars on your list worth buying and actually racing in the game:

3,550,000 Ferrari GTO '84
3,500,000 Mercedes-Benz Sauber Mercedes C9 '89
3,300,000 Ferrari F40 '92
3,000,000 Jaguar XJR-9 '88
2,500,000 Porsche Carrera GTS (904) '64 (incredible car for Tokyo. One of my all time favorites)
2,000,000 Nissan R92CP '92
2,500,000 Honda RA272 '65

Everything else is overpriced and does not perform anywhere close to what you paid for it. Buy 2 F40’s if you need to do the engine swap, but the stock engine with some performance parts makes this car a blast to drive.

I can't agree with you there @Tommy_D, the 20m GTO is pretty fire, rapid in a straight line, worth it for me. The Miura is also pretty damn great if tuned correctly, as is the Mark IV race car, and the XJ13. The S Barker will surprise you too, that one is a must if you play VR.

Basically they're all great in their own way. Buy the ones that make you happy, the rest will come.

Thank you to everyone that provided input so far. And especially this comment because I meant to state that I primarily play in VR, so the cockpit and how it is VR is a plus for me.

I need a TLDR for every one of my posts. lol. Thanks for reading it and for the input.

One comment on the XJ13 then, you've no rear view mirror in VR, all you can see in it is a bloody great helmet.

Have a look at this thread and maybe ask the same question there if you want more input

I will admit I didn’t take VR in to account. That may prove to be fun in some of the topless cars, but otherwise the old cars are really only good at LeMans. Their lack of downforce and skinny tires don’t make them very competitive at other tracks.

That's probably fair, although it's less of a problem at lower PP of course since you don't really need downforce on a relatively slow 450pp car. The Barker actually is quite competitive at that level, I comfortably won the Alsace mission in it, that was a glorious hour of VR fun. :)

F40 Enzo swap is a must have. I prefer the 330 P4 to the 250 GTO. It runs nice stock at 700 Le Mans.

I ended up holding off on the 2 I was asking about because the XJR and F40 popped up. Grabbed 2 of the F40 and got them tuned up and won a couple races. So worth it!
