I really thought there was a thread for this from back when this game came out on the Wii U in 2013. Apparently not.

Anyway, maybe not news to some since this has been announced in vague terms as early as November last year (in connection with the Wii Switch) but it's being re-released now for the current gen platforms on April 7th.

I love this game, lots of hours and fun to be had and absolutely hilarious situations throughout with great film nods throughout, as can be seen in the trailer.

My girlfriend loved this game but she's a big LEGO nut.

I'm tempted to give it a whack on Switch (You've forgot that console in the title! :D) but I don't like the regular LEGO games at all. Though I've heard this one is a fair bit different.

I had indeed forgotten to add it to the title - corrected now though, cheers.

As to you giving the game a go, I'll believe it when I see it ;) You said the same back when it first came out, if I remember...

It is different in that the story isn't constrained by a themed backstory, such as Batman, Jurassic World or The Avengers etc. It's just a story that takes place in the world of Lego City and uses the characters you can see and buy in any toy department.
