Less HP on my RM car after Mod

So i had the 69 camaro z28 tuned to the max with 500 plus hp then decided to do the race mod. After the race mod my HP went down to about 250. I noticed my mods were un installed after re installing them all im still left with under 500hp 450-460 or so...What the hell happened here?!?!?!
 
EDIT: Well, the car probably has a different engine than the stock version as race cars tend to have. So, you might try changing the oil and taking it for a couple races to break in the new engine.
 
I bought the Camaro, did the RM first then tuned and ended up with 550 before breaking in...
