just thought of this on the way home when i got past by the usuall rice burner style civic on the freeway, 18" rims, low profile tyres, so low ride quality would be basicaly absent, massive wing and i mean massive, shopping list of things he wish he had on the drivers door "hks, greddy, blitz and all those.... exhaust that is basically a pvc pipe taped onto the end of a 1/4-1/2" exhaust, u get the idea
Just to clarify, riceburners being stock standard underpowered cars with very little going for them at all, done up to look like it may actually have some sort of bite to match its bark. examples would be standard civics, preludes, hyundi excels, anything from deawoo, nissan exas, older accords, toyota camarys, honda CRXs, most if not all suzukis and the like...
Things Owners of rice burners should learn.....
1.No matter how big your exhaust tip/ rear muffler is, it does not offer any real performance upgrade and simply makes your car louder and more anoying than it started
2. There is little to no point in putting a spoiler three quarters of the hieght of the car on you boot or top of the tailgate because a car that has enough trouble getting to 100km/h does not need more downforce added to it.
3. skirting, body kits and the above mentioned spoilers do not help performance in any way shape or form, adding 60-70kgs worth of plastic, fibreglass and other assorted materials suprisingly only hinder the already struggling performance of the car. no matter how cool you think it looks afterwards.
4. No matter how much you spray silver paint and how big the stencil of HKS is on your radiator it isnt and never will be an intercooler.
5. this is mainly for drivers of underpowered hondas, no matter how many "Type R" "Spoon Racing" or "Mugen" stickers you have on your car inside and out this does nothing for performance in any way contrary to popular belief.
6. No matter how black your standard bonnet is and no matter how much black paint u use, it will not be lightwieght carbon fibre no matter how much u wish it was.
7. Having a pod filter from your local autobarn gaffa-taped to the end of your intake tubing sitting were the standard airbox would be does very little for the performance of your engine (although might help counter the 60kgs of fibreglass i mentioned above) and is most of the time there as a plecebo effect for the driver of the car.
8. vvti does not make your standard civic a high performance vehicle.
any of u guys think of anythin like that u reckon they should learn?
thought this would be a fun topic, put it up out of more bordom than anythin atm.
