Gday to everyone here!

First things first, im an Aussie male(24) and i have just completed watching the entire series of InitialD (stage1, 2, 3 +extras)
It has made me soo addicted to drifting that i went and bought a steering wheel for ma ps2 and gt3. (MadCatz MC2 ps2/xbox/gc compatible).

Anyways, i stumbled onto this forum, and have thoroughly read through most of the FAQ's, the drift guides, and watched the "DriftBible" video.
I have to say im bloody impressed with ya vids!

Im trying my hardest to learn to drift and after 2 days of getting used to the wheel and how the games plays, ive managed to succesfully drift the first corner of Apricot Hill without spinning out.
i used the "Hachi Roku" or "Sprinter Trueno" boosted to 369hp and with the settings mentioned here:
http://pergatory.net/gt3/settings.html#180

So i guess this is basically just a big hello, and a thanks for all the "newb" prehelp you guys have written/video'd. It helped a lot.

and now...
..back to drifting :)

well mate.. welcome to GTPlanet... Like a good trained nooby.. you followed the right road by first reading the FAQS and watching the vids - glad to see that all the hard work that was put into it by the members is not invain..

Well, hope to see a vid from you soon... if you need any help.. just let us know :)

Welcome to the most hippining place on the planet (yes... hippining) Glad to see we've freed another mind. I'd like to be the first to warn you... stand against me and you will die... wait... sorry I mean I'd like to be the first one to say how privilaged we are to have another fan here at the forums... yeah that's it.

you want addiction? try the arcade game.

i'm in sydney and there are several locations in the city to play Initial D: Arcade Stage.
check out the australian section of http://www.initial-d.com/forum/

Hey, you ever sucked foot for Initial D? huh? Yeah, when you've got a real addiction, come on back this way and we'll see.

"sucked foot" ?? not sure i get you.

of course it's not a real addiction - if i need to give it a rest for a while (lack of money, whatever) i will... but i love it to death and will play at any possible opportunity.

Welcome to GTP Aussie!!!! Look around, check people's sigs for vids to add to your collection, and feel free to ask questions. There seems to be a lack of good ones lately.....

hey, xsyorra. Think you could score me some initial d? Come on man... I'll pay you back later, you know I'm good for it. Come on!!! Look, don't make me cut you!

heheh ok i get u.... no, i pay my own way.

Initial D made me go out and buy a PS2...

welcome mate, I'd like to give you one tip....

tune the hp of the Trueno down. You'll get used to drifting quicker when you don't spinout everytime.

this is true, although i have a hard time having too much HP on the trueno (in GT3).. i find i can't get the power out of it that i want!

My trueno(no setting changes besides ASM and TCS) has everything and a turbo stage 2... Its awesome on the rally courses(thats all I'm playing right now)... very level playing field with the computer.

Don't know about street trueno... I don't feel like doing street right now.. just rally.

Battke_stage, sorry toi say but your vid links are borked :(

Just a quick question. Are all you guys like shadow drifter and actually drift/race in real life, or just a ps2 drifta? (our road rules are so strict over here, we have no where to do it for real, so we stuck to gokarts and ps2 :( )

I just turned 16 and don't even have a permit...

but, I live in Las Vegas so when I do get a license and a car, I can go to some drift shows/competitions...
