Let me repaint my cars

Seriously Kaz... The one thing that really irks me about this game is the lack of an ability to repaint your car. Not that I want to repaint my car every other day but I have the hardest time deciding what color to go with. Hell, it literally took me over 20 minutes to decide if I should go with the lighter or darker red on my Ferrari F2007 and this was after hours of thinking about it while I was earning enough money to buy it.

But I do agree with you, why can't we repaint? And I'd really like to put some different rims on it. I'm not talking about decals and all that, but some rims and a paint job would be cool as hell.

Rims would be nice but would take a bit more work to add in than changing paint colors. The paint colors are already in the game, they would just need to give you an option to change it for, say, 500 credits or so.
 
I totally agree! I too take a hell of a long time to think about what colour I want before I purchase a car, and there has been numerous times when I regret the colour I chose and actually ended up selling that car in order to buy the same one but with the colour I wanted more - damn frustrating it is!

Either way I agree, I would like decals, and paint system.
 
i said the same thing in the chat room and i got jumped all over i dont see the problem with it i just want my car to be different form everybodys

Because it's prologue. A big demo. Painting is hardly of the upmost importance in the grand scheme of gt.
 
If you want to play need 4 speed buy that, this is a driving simulator.You dont buy a car off the showroom floor then go back and say I wast it in that colour now.

One thing Ive come across lately is thst majority of people want the GT series to go away from its roots.Go buy a game that is more to your ricey taste.

I don't see how what I am asking for has anything to do with ricers. I could honestly care less about decals/skins/custom paint jobs. I think body kits are stupid unless it is just for practical purposes. The furthest I would go as far as aesthetic changes would be wheels. Not those big, 20" chrome POS's. I am talking about buying lighter wheels to improve performance and at times make the car more aesthetically pleasing(but only to a fault, not this riced out crap).

I am simply talking about changing the base color of the car. That is all I want. You might not say that in real life, because you are probably far more careful about your choice OR because even if you regret your choice, spending real money on a paint job is far different than game credits. That said, after driving my car around for months with it one color, I wouldn't mind a change.

This isn't a huge issue for me as I realize this isn't the full game and this is far down on the list of my wants but it is just something that I see to be easy to implement and I was also curious if anyone else spends a ridiculous amount of time picking the color of every new car they buy. :guilty:

I am positive(well, almost) that this will be in the full game. That isn't my concern. It's just as of right now, not being able to repaint cars has caused much headache and heartache in my life. Maybe it's just my OCD.... :crazy:

Yeah, it would be ok in the full game, as i think decals would be too. Especially with online racing, it would be great to see teams with same liveries etc. But it's only a tiny piece of the jigsaw, not something i'd wanna see in prologue.
 
Done to death - since about GT2.
