To be honest, has the GR.4 ever been...Good? Even at launch, I honestly hardly ever saw the GR.4 used.

Likewise, I rarely have ever seen the McLaren 650s GT3 in Manufacterer races even before the F1 GTR came to the game (and has since then only made that ever more glaring) so I honestly am not sure this latest BOP has much to do with it from what I've noticed.

Even in the obligatory Daily GR.1 races at Circuit De La Sarthe, the Ultimate VGT was about as elusive as Bigfoot and even if you saw 1, it was always surrounded by Mazdas.

Because at launch it was one of the worst in class. Around mid-2018 it got 2 BoP updates back to back, a weight decrease and a power increase if I remember right. Unfortunately, this is around the time the Megane Trophy was added, which overshadowed Gr.4 for a couple months, so people still weren’t using it.

Here’s what happened yesterday in Manufacturers!

Practice had made me understand that qualy was very important for me. Due to the car’s less than ideal fuel consumption, I was forced to run the (inferior) one stop strategy, which meant I had to avoid getting held up at all costs. I managed to put the 650S on the front row and ran away with a Mustang in the first half of the race. I pitted from second place and came out tenth, then overtook seven cars in the next three laps to finish P3! 2088 points for me, 13 manufacturer points for McLaren.

I don’t care if I’m the underdog, I’m having a good time :D

Oh hello there. This is my first post ever i think and i wanted to share my thoughts on the 650s gr 3 after some races yesterday on Maggiore.

I dont know if im messing up somewhere but after some laps the main thing i noticed is the car is very understeery on low-mid speed corners. When i decided try out the 650s i was expecting a load of oversteering since it is a MR car, but that really catch me out of guard. Thats really Ok?

I dont know if this is related but on last week i was driving the supra on race C and the car was really good on handling. Maybe i need to change the driving style and thats why im strugling with the 650s?

Anyways, the experience on driving the 650 was not so pleasant until now, but i will stick with the car until next week races to see where i can go.

Sorry for any english mistakes, it was the first time i wrote my opinion on something without the help of google translator lol

Have a Nice week everyone

Can the 650GT3 zero stop tomorrow’s Manufacturer race at Sardegna?

Never mind, don’t know why I asked because I can’t be bothered to fiddle with fuel mixtures for each sector and straight. If I were that keen on gaining decent points, I wouldn’t be driving McLaren in the first place

We need aliens. Please.

Things aren't looking ideal for McLaren in these last few rounds. Nurburgring GP is absolutely a skip because the F1's (and probably my) pace there is embarrassing. Monza is sketchy and unpredictable, but I may end up doing it as I'm going to miss some rounds in the next stage. I could get murdered at T1 and finish dead last, or I could get a tow in qualy, escape the inevitable pileup and run away with 2k+ points, nobody knows for sure. The last round for this half is Sardegna B, and if my pace at the reverse track is anything to go by, I'll be pretty fast there. The issue is that the fuel multiplier is high and I'll likely end up having to one stop a no stop race just like at St. Croissant. Then again, the result was great there 💡

Round 7 wasn't bad. P14 to P6 thanks to the F1's fuel economy. I have bad raw pace and great fuel economy in Gr.3, great raw pace and bad fuel economy in Gr.4. I suppose it's better than being average at both...
