Ok so here is the plan. I will start this thread in the Marketplace, then eventually move to the Help Desk when we determine it's ready.
With the influx of new people to GT5 I think this finally has to be fixed. I still constantly see people asking "Why isn't the Reputation Thread updated?" Have been seeing this for as long as I can remember.
People still post on GM's wall regarding updating the thread. This just shows that it is still unclear to people how to use the thread or what the purpose is. It's not to be listed in the OP and show everyone how many trades you completed. Honestly whether you completed 5 trades or 500 doesn't matter. We are not in competion to make the most trades that is just silly, we want to show that we completed a trade with so and so to show that we are reliable. Numbers don't mean much. Anyway this was already debated six months ago and I'm not trying to go there again.
At that time when we almost lost the thread. (Due to lack of understanding of how it works) I wrote a new OP. It was suppose to replace GM's but I think the mod who was helping us forgot. I also tried to contact GM on my own several times with no success. It's been so long that I want to try again. This time I think everyone should have input on this matter. I tried to explain it as best as I could in my own words. But please everybody look it over, tell me if I missed something or any input at all to make it perfect. I am in no way the one who could claim any credit for this concept. This system was in place before I even came to GT Planet. The problem is only the experience traders understood and the new members are confused because that OP has never been updated. So lets fix this!
Please all input/comments welcome.
Also please just post and acknowledge this even if you have no input. Once I feel everyone has seen this I will move to Help Desk to have a moderator replace the old OP.

HOODFIELDWelcome to the GT Planet Traders Reputation Thread. If you have doubts on who your trading with this thread is an excellent resource to determine if the member in question is reliable.
First off, we strongly recommend utilizing the "USB Trick" especially when trading with new members. Info can be found here. Follow this procedure as insurance just in case you do get scammed you only lose a trade day rather than the actual item.
Please refer to this thread if you suspect you have been scammed. Do not accuse people of scamming in this thread.
Using "search" to view feedback: To look up a member simple click on the maroon toolbar in the upper right corner of the screen where it says "Search this Thread" and type the members name into the search bar and press "Enter". The forum will return all the post that contain feedback on that member. From there you can read through the feedback and determine for yourself if that member will complete their half of the deal. If you are using theapp the search box can be accessed by tapping the thread title from your device. See below.

Guidelines for leaving Positive Feedback
There is no official format for leaving feedback. However all feedback left in the thread must be POSITIVE. The way you post your feedback is unique to the individual. Just have a look through the thread for different examples. There is everything from colored numbers, to small gif images. Please ensure you type the members GTPlanet screen name exactly how it appears to ensure accurate search results.
Here are some common examples of criteria that is useful information when leaving feedback:
-Was it a trade or donation?
-Type of items? (car, ticket, paint, gear, etc...)
-How many?
-Communication
-Ability to resolve problems
Guidelines for leaving Negative Feedback
Negative feedback must be sent via private message, not posted in the thread. Members should endeavour to resolve any disputes via PM with their trade partner. (Moderators will not assist in resolving any disputes)
========================================
Last but not least please do not post anything other than feedback in this thread. This thread is a tool and not the place to rack up your post count. If you see another member abusing this thread please use the "Report" function that is at the bottom of every post. This is a self-sufficient thread that is set-up to run itself hopefully to GT6 and beyond...
Please all input/comments welcome.
