Let's see your replicas!

Annoyed with the fact I can't recreate race replicas due to the lack of a livery editor, I got thinking about what other replicas you can recreate in GT5.

Please post up pics of your GT5 replicas - these can be existing production models (like the orange BMW M3 GTS), or film replicas (like Steve McQueen's Mustang), anything that's been customised in GT5 to look like an existing car in the real world.

Ideally, please post up a pic of the real-world version too so we can see the similarity.

I'm looking for inspiration 👍

I've made a Gallarro Superleggera, exact bodywork and performance/weight figures. Also, the blue and yellow Sunoco Camaro. Will post pics later 👍.

I did the BMW M3 GTS. I also tried a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 Race Car look-alike(only the exterior and not the specs), bought it in white and added front aerokit with a tall rear wing. Doesn't have the front canards, wide body and stickers though.

I'm also working on a replica of the "Tuned" SLS AMG used in the Special Event - Nurburgring AMG Driving School. I'm lacking some pictures though so I could make it exactly, I'm unsure about the wheels, the spoiler type, the exact paintjob (though I got the one from the stock SLS that I think fits the best) and the performance figures. If anyone could help, I'd be much obliged.

McLaren F1 GTR replica. Lacks some small fins at the front but otherwise it looks the part. I've modded it then used the ballast and engine power options to bring it to real world specs.

Yeah, that's the kind of stuff I mean.

Along the lines of the BMW M3 GTS:

I'm just wondering what other real-world cars you can recreate in GT5 with the paint editor, wheels, bodykits etc available.

Like Carbon said above, the McLaren F1 GTR is another I've recreated:

It's not really possible to do the F1 GTR, as there is no long tail at the end. The F1 LM is definitely possible though as the aero parts just look the same.

Yea its possible to do the GTR just not the GTR '97 "Long Tail" ..

I made a focus st in to a blue focus rs.. With the rear wing the same and multi spoke black rims! Then i painted it matte black and its now a focus rs 500! Best ff car for me by far!

I think we were originally meant to post photomode pics of our cars.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see any photomode pics. Not even by the OP.

If the OP changes the wording of the first post, and gives some guidelines, I will consider moving it back to the photomode forum.

Until then, it seems like a general GT5 subject, so that's where it will reside.

I absolutely love my Focus. Easily one of my best handling FWD's in the game. Mine has a blue/orange theme (GULF colours), but I have to admit, a matte black RS500 look alike sounds like it may be my next Focus mod.

;)

My focus rs 500 has no understeer at all, even on sports tyres.. Tho its running max bhp and weight reduction.. And man it looks hell good!

Not quite what the op was thinking maybe, but I have made a Golf GTI into a 1.9 TDI in specs. Really worked quite well as power reductions lower the peak power to roughly the same, 103bhp @ 4500 RPM plus ballast up the front to simulate the extra weight of the diesel.

Nice idea. While it's not technically a "diesel", you've managed to get the specs and weight distribution close enough to simulate one. I hadn't thought of trying that.

;)

Also playing with the gear ratio's helps. Need to soften and raise the suspension to get the full effect.

I thought I'd try it since my other half has one. Just wish I could recreate my Fiat Bravo Multijet.

Nearly bought a focus 1.6 Tdci so might try one of them too.

It's just something different.

It doesn't take a lot of imagination to picture the "replicas". Lowered suspension and a couple of wings lol.

But here's one of mine...

Another easy one to do it the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale.

444bhp @ 7000 rpm
376 lb ft @ 4750rpm
Six-speed semi-auto
187mph
1770kg
