It's a prize for getting all golds on one of the seasonal's, I forget what one off the top of my head.

yes im aware of that thanks but I'd rather trade for it because I am already doing that but just want more level 23 tickets.

In fact, to anyone reading... I'm basically looking to convert my credits to level 23 tickets so i can do this trade with several people if there are more than one showing interest (although of course not on the same day)

:)

edit: theres no lvl23 seasonal after all! d'oh i've been racing for a 22 :( lol

Will send you a level 23 ticket this evening for free. Least I can do for the war I inadvertently started in your other thread when I tee'd off that other guy when I made a simple joke. Again, I apologize for my part in hijacking your thread. Will send the ticket in about 4 hours.

On a different note it looks like you may have some older wanted threads still open in your post history. You might want to go through your past threads and close those that are completed. You do it the same way you edit the title of a thread; click on Edit and then select Go Advanced. Next to the thread title will be the option for listing the thread as Wanted, Available, or Complete. If you are done with a Wanted thread just change it to Complete. That way others will know you are finished with that thread and have what you were after. :) While it might seem like a minor detail there are some here who will come down on you for "not following the rules" if you leave a wanted thread open after the trade.

Edit: Just let me know what account you want it sent to. :)

The seasonal B-Spec Challenge gives a level 23 ticket if you win both races. :)

ah lol thats ok i dont really do b-spec theres too many laps lol

as for the ticket i'd honestly prefer you didn't send it despite your generous offer as i seriously hold no ill will against you and if anything you probably should toward me so seriously man don't worry about it, and its no war lol :)

as for the threads i shall do just that - i have been opening a few lately thanks :)

Oh, I know you're not mad at me. You have been very patient and understanding throughout the whole mess and that is a rare commodity on this forum. :) Plus I don't have any trades scheduled for this evening anyhow. So as a way of showing my thanks for your understanding I thought I would send you the ticket. But I will respect your decision and not send it if you don't want it. If you change your mind and decide you could use one after all just let me know and I will send one to you.

Thanks again.

How thoughtful :)

As long as you really don't mind then I could definitely use one I just don't want you to somehow feel obligated or anything that is all.

Thanks for your kind words - i'm always glad to hear people speak of the importance of community on online forums. I feel the same way.

If there's anything you need in the way of paints i have quite a big collection of non-special paints including chrome orange metallic and a lot of manufacturers ones, so if there's any colour you're after let me know here or on psn and i'll check; i'd like to return the favour in some small part if possible.

Many thanks again Aftac! :)

You got it! Will send one your way in 2 hours. :)

As far as paints I'm not much of a paint collector but I do like medium to dark blue. If you have any you don't want I won't argue. 👍 And I have plenty of silver and gold chrome so if you could use any of them let me know and I will toss a few of them your way too.

blues coming your way

btw can you send ticket to Barcelonic please and not GT5playa147 that is my alternate. But don't worry if it's too late :)

Ticket sent. I still have a trade available for tonight if you need another one. If you are interested in a trade let me know what tickets you have. :)

Edit: Speaking of tickets did you finish the seasonal races that give you a level 22 ticket? If you did I would be interested in trading you for it, whether it be another level 23 ticket or another ticket (I have almost all of the level tickets).

i have only a level 17 ticket but ive agreed a trade for a lvl23 ticket already. otherwise i'd gladly offer you that.

but its good to know anyways cus ill have more tickets soon so ill let you know when i do. thanks for this btw, i got the Cintroen Concept 08 which i never tried before. it drives like the 787B a bit so not great at cornering but very stable and pretty fast on the straights.

ill most likely be working my way through a-spec again on a third acct and have tickets to trade but will be lower levels at first. are you interested in all tickets or above a certain level?

thanks again
:)

edit: btw i didnt get the 22 ticket and tbh i rarely win seasonals. don't know why its just harder to find an edge (plus i've not particularly good haha) - i guess thats why they pay so much lol

I'm interested in a wide range of tickets. It just depends on whether I'm interested in one of the cars that come from that particular ticket or not. Since I didn't think to save a copy of any of the tickets I won from the game when I played the first time I've since gone back and have done most of the game all over again from a second account and didn't use a single ticket. So I have just about every level ticket along with most of the green prize car tickets. I think I have something like 110 tickets in the alt account. So when ever I want something all I have to do is shoot a copy of the appropriate ticket from my alt account over to my main account. So I don't need to trade for level tickets but I do anyhow. This way I can help someone else get something they need while getting something I could make use of in the process. So it's a win-win for 2 people instead of just a win for myself. :)

As for the seasonal with the level 22 ticket I used the Toyota 7 and won all the races with ease. The most important part with tuning (at least to me anyhow) is to make sure it's geared to the track. If you have mostly high speed corners and a lot of long straights then gear it for top speed. But if the track has a lot of sharp turns and short straights I will drop the top speed down 30 to 40 mph so the car will accelerate faster out of the corners.

I think I have the Toyota 7 set to be shared with friends right now if you want to borrow it and see if you have any luck. I'm about to do the seasonal all over again in my alt account so I can get a level 22 ticket on that account. :)

cool thanks

i actually took your advice and have done a few b-spec races and can nearly get the toyota 7 myself but until then thatll be very handy thanks :)

about the tuning do you mean to say the only bit i need to customise is the transmission? so i won't need to tune suspension or anything?
if so that suits me as i'm familiar with using the custom transmission but the suspension has always been trial and error for me and tbh mostly error lol :)

No, gearing is not the only thing to tweak but to me it is the most important as I don't deal with corners worth a darn. :) While a good suspension setup can mean the difference between a win or a lose by fractions of a second it doesn't do you a bit of good if they pull away from you coming out of a corner or blow past you on the long straights because your gearing is wrong for the type of track you are on. Gearing also depends on the horsepower. The higher the horsepower the higher top speed you can get away with.

When it comes to gearing the tach is your friend. If you watch the tach when going down a long straight look to see where you hit the rev limiter in top gear before hitting the end of the straight. If you top out in the middle of the straight then you need to increase your top speed. But if you're just getting in to top gear just when you need to hit your brakes then you're over-geared and you need to drop your top speed down. A lower top speed will help a lot with acceleration coming out of the corners.

Now this is where you need to look at your driving style. I use a DS3 to play the game and not a wheel/pedal setup so I have a tendency to brake too hard for corners. So to make up for it I usually gear down a little more then most people to help improve how quickly the car accelerates back up to speed when coming out of a corner. I lose some top speed in the process but if there's no really long straights then the lower gearing doesn't hurt me to much.

One last trick is the gap between gears as you can also tweak the ratios of each gear, not just the overall range and rear axle ratio. If I want a little more top speed in last gear but I don't want to effect the lower gears I will lower the number of the top gear for a few more MPH.

Clear as mud, right? Hope I haven't added to the confusion. :) I've never found a suspension setup that I like and most of the times I tried playing with the adjustments I only made it worse so I have a tendency to leave the suspension setup alone and play with gearing instead. Plus I'm more of a drag racer at heart. In the past I've drag raced a small block V8 powered Chevy Monza (the '70s compact version, not the rear engine '60's version) along with doing a stint as a crew chief for a AHDRA super gas drag racing bike. So corners were not an issue (at least not till you hit the end of the track). The only time I worked with anything that required turning was as a crew member for friends on their circle track or road racing cars.
