Level Gift Tickets Yielding Already Owned Cars

Should there be something in game that stops you getting cars you already have?

Should this happen? I finished the endurance races in b-spec today and with my resulting level 24 gift ticket, I recieved a Ferrari F10. Very nice yes, but I already have one. That's two ten million credit cars I have now that I can't use in any races, and while I enjoy the car for practices and photoshoots, it is kinda useless. I can't trade it now either or even give it away which I'd be happy too, so should there be something in the game that stops you from recieving cars you already have with level tickets? I wouldn't complain, but when it's with cars like this that cost so much it's very annoying to get an extra one that you can't even trade.

Did you back up your save prior to opening the ticket? If you do this, you can "rig" the ticket into giving you whatever car you desire from the ticket that's available.


Also, I have nothing against having more than one of any car. I have 2 RX7 LM cars (different colors), 2 C4 WRCs, 3 X2010 S. Vettels and 2 Chaparral 2Ds.
 
The cars you receive from gift tickets are completely random. Otherwise, someone could just dupe the 1000 tickets and complete the entire GT5 car collection that way.

If you'd like to get another car, just backup your save and keep reloading it until you get the desired car.
 
I thought all you had to do to get a different car was quit the game when the actual car came up... the "saving data" box when I used the ticket was rather a let down.

Oh well, live and learn. I was just annoyed that out of all the possible cars I could've got from it, I got the only level 24 car I have in the 8 digit price range. That and it pushed me to 360 cars, and my special paint for that was matte pink :p

The matte pink could have been changed if you simply exited out after you opened the ticket. All you have to do is exit out of the game and reload it, the paint chip will change then.

Yeah I just received my third "1000" ticket last night. The first two were useless cheap-O standard cars. Then my third was a premium McLaren MP4-12C '10! That I just bought on my own a few hours prior :( Cost me 225,000, and can only sell it for 67,500 with 0 miles. Come on PD. At least let us sell it for HALF of what it cost new when it hasn't even left the garage!!!

I welcome the chance to receive a zero mileage car in place of a high mileage one.
That saves me money on a rebuild and chassis refresh.
Additionally I can then sell the high mileage car for credits.

The 1000 tickets are good for this. I've received several and it works out well.
 
Aren't there only 3 level 24 cars? I think I saw in another post that the F2007 never shows up with the level 24 ticket. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.

If you also already have a FGT, you did not have much chance of not getting a duplicate.

In received the number 6 F2007 today via a 24 ticket.
The three level 24 cars are the two Ferrari F1s and the Formula Gran Turismo.
 
I've received the Jay Leno Tank car three times, thanks to the car tickets, so I voted yes.

In my case I allready owned a Formula GT and a F2007, and so I tried to reload the ticket about 20-30 times but always got the FGT or the F2007... NEVER the Ferrari F10....
