I found this press release by Googling "VR Cockpit by Sony":

There's not an equivalent English press release. Here's what Firefox's auto-translate gives me:
Sony Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sony Group") will debut a prototype of the future mobility entertainment "VR Cockpit" at the "Japan Mobility Show 2025 (JMS)" to be held at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Koto-ku from October 29th (Wednesday) to November 9th (Sun).

The prototype of this VR cockpit is installed in the "LEXUS RealxVirtual Driving Concept *1 powered by VR Cockpit" exhibited by LEXUS on the tour program "Tokyo Future Tour 2035" in JMS where you can experience the future in 10 years. We offer a new driving experience to enjoy the software "Gran Turismo 7" for PlayStation®5 / PlayStation®4 while enjoying the realistic driving feeling while riding in the car.

It is said that more than ninety percent of the car's life span is parked and stopped. The VR Cockpit, which is being developed by the Sony Group, is a service and solution that brings new value to the car by utilizing the inside of the car as an entertainment space such as game experience, based on the concept of "moving mobility in parking to an inspiring space". In this exhibition, VR Cockpit synchronizes the actual car with Gran Turismo7, realizing a highly reproducible driving simulation based on the driver's driving operation, and you can experience an immersive feeling in a game like never before.

We created this prototype with the desire to convey to all users, including children who will lead the future, that cars will be more fun." On that day, the way we use the car changed."
I really wouldn't be expecting this concept to show up in the retail game.

I am a bit confused, what is the relation of upcoming Toyota V8 GT and this Lexus? Do they share the same platform with Toyota being hybrid and Lexus BEV or are they different projects? And which one is the successor to LFA?

This SC will possibly serve as the coupe successor to the LC line that's ending. The LFR/GR is the car Toyota is marketing as the LFA's successor.

I don't think it's been revealed what platform the SC has underneath, but I don't think it shares it with the V8. That car seems built with the intent to go racing whilst the SC looks to be going as a luxury EV; to my knowledge, it's also not confirmed for production just yet, either.

Welcome to the 5th car of the next update
Given that some shots of the concept were lifted off Autodesk, of whom PD use some of their tools for the game, it wouldn't surprise me if this was the case.

I guess this is cheaper than doing a Lexus demo disc.

"but the lack of a physical model of the car in driving and the placeholder sound does lead us to wonder if the vehicle has actually been modelled for the game."

The whole trailer is CGI and the last shots are from it leaving the pit and driving on track. Those last shots seem to me like captured from the game and added post effects (like the lens flare) and color grading.

The new "LFA" looks good!

Please no.
Not every car added to the game can be to everyone's liking. But we're talking about the biggest update yet for GT7, with 7 more cars, 2 tracks and a host of other things. Once a car is modelled and announced to be included in the game, it's coming, no matter what. Wouldn't you rather have a car you're not interested in included a larger update with more things you would like, rather than in just a regular 3 car update where it's inclusion has a larger effect on the update as a whole? Surely the update hasn't fallen that far in your anticipation because of the possibility of this being in the game? Come December, I'm sure we'll all have something to cheer about.

I will say - a little sad PD have managed to put the rear view mirror onto an actual IRL car's rear mirror before they put it on roof cam.

I hope PD doesn't use the concept version as it's not going to age well.

We'll probably get both, knowing PD. But in what order, who knows?! The official reveal is on the 4th/5th of December.

Lexus concept looks great but the way car prices have been going, only the 0.1% can afford it

This is such a stunning looking car. I'd happily take it as part of SpecIII with a proper drivetrain.

In fact the real car is due its unveiling on December 6-8.

Honestly, out of all the VGT's and concept cars that have been added, this has to be the best looking one so far. Really hoping it's not got unreasonable power like someone else already mentioned. Better balanced cars ftw!

Traxion put out a video on this:

Does sound like they're building this platform as a more generic, customisable model to give to multiple manufacturers, rather than it being just a build of GT7 that has this Lexus unlocked early.
