In this test the car is low on fuel and you are supposed to change the fuel mix in order to win the race without running out of fuel. I have not played racing games that modify fuel mix before. What is the general strategy to apply here? I am guessing lean on corners and rich on straights, is this correct?

Did they have fuel mixing on prior GT games? I have not played a GT game since GT4. Also, is this an option in the F1 games by Codemasters? I have F1 2013 for Xbox 360 and did not notice this before.

The lazy mans way is just adjust the fuel mix on a lap per lap basis , Given that your racing the AI I generally go for a rich fuel mix and the stickiest tyres possible and bang in fast laps constantly, Still you can always go the opposite way and go lean and lift and coast but who wants to do that. Also don't change tires if you don't need to you can save valuable time not changing perfectly good tires.

I don't think they had fuel mix in GT before.

But on to the main question, I golded this test today. To start I put the mix down at 6, then got on with it until the run down to the hairpin/u-turn before the finishing straight where I whacked it up to 1 to chase down and pass for the win just before the finish line.
