Licenses Easier?

Did PD change getting DQ'd by hitting other cars on the S license and other 2-lap battles?

Last night I went to finish up my last 3 S licenses. Early on I hit a AI car pretty good. No DQ. Happened later. No DQ. Thought this was weird so I hit one as hard as I could just to see. Nothing. So I finished all three this way. Then I went back to the Rome and Grandvalley 2-lap battles. Same thing. Helped me get past the two 2-lap battles I was struggling with.

So is this intentional, or a side effect of the 1.06 update?

I've recently been golding all of my licenses again now as I'm driving with a wheel and I'm also trying to do them with no ABS (turns out that is the faster way to do it for most of the licenses) and I noticed at the one lap battle at high speed ring I got my braking slightly wrong and did give a car a good whack, but nothing happened?

I don't know if anything has changed though, I can't remeber how sensitive it was before the update now tbh.

I was able to get gold on the remaining ones in S just before the update. So, on one hand, there is some personal satisfaction in doing it the hard way. On the other hand, if I waited just one day, I could have avoided the hours of teeth gnashing :(

Rarely do i ever pass an AI that does not attack me. In nearly every case as i get beside an AI driver in most races he will ram into the side of me in an attempt to spin/put me off the track. This could be PD's thinking on this issue. Should you pay the price if the AI hits you? I haven't run the S test as of yet but its just a thought.

The AI is really a bee in the licenses. Unless you run into their line they usually don't come near you.

The only "lap" license that I didn't beat before the update for gold was IC10 and going back through it, it wasn't easy but it was helped by the fact I could use the AI as bumpers and buffers.

See this is another reason that GT5 really needs to include more sophisticated damage aswell as it being the case that you would have to pay out of your own credits to have the car repaired ... IRL if you hit another car, your car gets damaged ... And then you have to pay to get your car fixed ... And don't tell me that if someone else hits you then someone else should pay for it, that isn't how it works in racing.
