Will the cuppacino run well in the Professional Lightweight races?

The Honda Beat might work well, too.

Yes, i used a Honda Beat, White, fully modded and with a huge wing. It looks really cool, and it thrashed everyone.

When i was in this series the cappuccino was always in the lead among the AI cars, so it should be quite good. With an ECU chip and a decent exhaust it should easily win. I just wish i'd used one. I used a Honda Beat, which also did the Japanese compact car races.
Good Luck 👍

did these cars even have chips back then?

i bought a honda city turbo II for the race because it looked so small...but when i wanted to enter, i could not...checked the car length...it was 2 cm to long! 2 cm, i don't believe it!

Answer me a question please. Why is everyone suggesting cars (most with mods) that are way, way more than what you need to win? If you ask me that takes the fun and the challenge out of the game. Try using unmodded cars such as the Minican Dangan or any other car with around 64hp. If you ask me, this is much more fun. Or better yet, take a really crappy car, like the Honda Today or Daihatsu Midget II and see how little you need to mod to win.

I agree, i hate it when its easy to win a race. I prefer it when the races actually pose a challenge. It was like in GT3 when you won the F1 car it was easy to win all the races. I think you should use a standard car for this series of races, just to make it harder. I think people use stupidly modded cars to make it easier to progress through the game, and earn more money.

Wait a minute, the original question from tsugsr asks for any car to enter the K-car cup.
So anyone is free to recommend any eligible car. I did it with the Suzuki Alto works.
If you want to use the crappiest eligible car to win that cup, it's OK to me, and it's a proof to other GT4 fans that it can be done.
I agree with you that no challenge is boring and ideally PD should limit the car lenght AND the power in the K cup but place it at the professionnal level so newbies won't be frustrated
On the other hand if someone suggests an overpowered eligible car, what's wrong with that ?

Nothing is wrong with that, I was just asking and suggesting ways to have more fun with the game other than trying to "finish" the game as fast and as easy as they can. In other words, don't pay so much attention to "finishing" the game. Completion percentage doens't mean anything. Absolutely anybody can get 100%. The challenge of the game is to see how good you can drive with what you got. That's why, I think, they tried to add the A-spec points. Although they did not quite implement it as well as they could.

The purpose of the game, IMO, is to try out ALL of the cars to see how they run and then try to modify them to see how they do. To me, it just doesn't seem fun to buy a car that is already more than you need slap racing exhaust, chip, and a stage II turbo on it and then blowing away the field by 50 seconds.

Autobiachi Abarth ...did the trick for me.
What can I say, it was free.

This is first GT game where driving the little 60's cars that can squeeze into the 3400mm category actaully makes the Kei races enjoyable to try again.

Don't try to use a Caterham Fireblade, though!

I cannot seem to find a car to race in the Lightweight K car cup races in the begginer level.

can believe im going to post this, but i took my 1972 Honda Life Step Van , spent way too much money on it and blew away all the competors... and its still only 80 horsepower, but with NOS of course.... heh thats was a LOT of fun.....
