Am I the only one here who collects lighters?(NO I DONT SMOKE ITS NASTY) Though its a fun hobby I think....Plus as in my other thread...im a "pyro"(not literaly I just like to play with fire) Anyways post some pics of your lighters. Cool ones not those disposable plastic ones you buy 20 for 5$ at kmart.Unfortunately many of my lighters pressure escaped after they were crush so they couldnt be lit, so I sold them at summer camp (and I made a killing (45$))

Is the lighter in the second link, the same lighter that is in the first link - second from left, top row? I had that exact same lighter. Even lit up bright red. Bought it when I was younger on a class trip to Europe. Kicked major ass with the two flames.

I don't have any cool lighters at the moment. Someone always steals my lighter everytime I'm at a party or friend's house, so I just stick with the cheap ass disposable BIC's for now.
 
Yes its the lighter on the top left though its broken and puts out 2-4 flames now depending on what mood its in.....
 
I just take all the lighters I find and adjust the butane outlet valve to get bigger flames.

I don't collect them, though.
 
I don't collect lighters either, but I have a awesome Zippo lighter from WWII. It has a B-17 Bomber on it. It needed to be fixed, so I contacted Zippo for repairs. They said they wanted to buy it from me and offered me $500.00. I never sent it to them, and don't think I'll ever get it fixed because something might happen to it.

I do this as well. Then I return the lighter to where I found it so the next smoker to try it gets a nice surprise.

Well I have about 15 Zippos,10 refillable butane lighters,and some disposable lighters which have logos on them ex.Coke,and cigarette brands,but no I don't collect them:D

Oh and I have two cigar lighters.
This is by far the most expensive lighter I own.

Nope but you know those mints that are liquid and are in a little drip bottle you drip on your toung....ya well I wondered what it would taste like when it was heated...So I held it over the flame of my lighter..watched it bubble..then piiiiishhshhhh I felt a tingling sensation and I looked at my hand and it was flaming purple and green I wailed it around them "huged/Smuthered" my hand......my entire hand went numb for 2 days.....
 
I like lighters, well Zippo's mostly. I have a few. My fav is a black zippo with a white skull on it. It rocks. In Baghad on of the Iraqi vendors sold all kinds of lighters. He had these butane lighters that had light displays and little musical tones that went off when you lit them. Oh and somehow he got some Commemorative Zippos. They came in little tin cases and everything. He had about 5 different kinds of the zippos. I bought the one with the 100 dollar bill and Ben Franklin on it.

Yeah, I suppose lighting yourself on fire could be considered a hobby. :)
 
I lose lighters. Thats about it.
Everytime I need a cig, I can't find my lighter...

Lighting things on fire is a hobby. They call them Pyro's.
 
I like torch lighters better...their windproof
I have a 3 torch lighter..it's adjustable and i can get the flame to about 1-1/2 feet long!
 
i Have Some Zippo's from 4-5 years ago, but i dont have any fluid for them

no, but have you ever filled your mouth with lighter fluid, and then held a lit lighter up to it, and slowly opend your mouth?
 
Well, I have a generic Zippo lighter...Nothing special. That's just for..."Special Occacions. :D"

I use a generic Bic disposable lighter for cigarettes. Nothing beats em.
 
I have about 300 something lighters but I do smoke so I need a different random lighter each day.
 
I have 2 Zippos, one chrome finish and one electric blue metalic finish. No I don't smoke but I'm also a 'pyro'.

Me and a few mates were playing with fire on saturday night. Nothing serious. Long story short, I now have no hair on my left arm thanks to a can of deo.

No, I don't smoke. I use it to open beer bottles.

Oldest trick in the book, but it always seems I'm showing someone new as soon as they see me do it.

wait wait wait...so you keep the lighter in your car, you use the lighter to open beer bottles in your car, open beer bottles usually get ingested, DUI?
 
I had a official Gold Plated White House Marajuana lighter hahahahaha it had the White house on it!hahahaha :lol: But I sold it for 40$

Care to explain that method? I've found myself using fences for that when I'm in a jam.
 
Rap your hand around the neck of the bottle with your index finger around 2cm from the cap. Wedge the bottom of the lighter inbetween the cap and your finger. Squeeze the bottle tight so your finger doesn't slip. Using your finger as a kind of pivot, push the ligher in and up and pop goes the cap! I wouldn't recomend doing it in a car though.
