The thing that has anoyed me the most out of all the gran- turismo games is the fact is that there is no reverse lights. It might sound like nothing to you but every street car in real life have them, and it would also and to the realsm don't you think?

What do you need reverse lights for? ;)

This has already been discussed before. I don't see the point of having reverse lights in a racing game if you knew how to drive properly.

And how about safetybelts? I hope they add a mini-game you have to play everytime to put your seatbelt on before driving. That would add to the realism.

Meh, reverselights is not that important.

Don't forget about indicating everytime you turn too.

;)

Reverse lights would be good imo, just think how daft that S2000 test in GT:P looks in replays. Would look much better with reverse lights.

Doubt we'll see reverse lights in GT4 & personally I'd rather see exhaust pops above reverse lights.

I love it when GT4 fans try to convince them selves that GT4 doesn't need em, comedy. ofc it fricking does, PS1 games had reverse lights and exhaust pops mwa hahah. I'd rather see both in, along with skidmarks.

That's the problem you people keep referring to GT as a racing game when infact its a Driving Simulator so reverse lights would be good.

And also Race Driver 1 & 2 are racing games & they've got reverse lights!

Of course many of these things aren't necessary - just as the moving trees when there's a helicopter around was unnecessary in GTAVC. But they would add a certain... polish to the games.

The problem is, most race cars don't have reverse lights, usually because they're not really needed - whether a car is stationary or reversing doesn't matter to the driver avoiding it at 120mph - but sometimes just due to weight/space limitations.

I'd like to see reverse lights - and even flashable headlights which do make it to several closed-wheel race cars - implemented on appropriate cars in the game, just for the sake of completeness. But they shouldn't overlook the fundamentals when they're adding niceties.

All correct rally games have reverse lights (CMR, WRC...). They also have realistic (well, sort of) damage, exhaust pops...
After each GT session, when I've had enough of careful driving and nice racing lines, I put the WRC2 of CMR3 disc for half an hour of careless driving. Banzai !!!

The funny thing is, I've never noticed cars have racing lights in real life, until someone started whining about them not being in GT. I still haven't noticed any car's reverse lights funnily enough ...

So you can imagine how important I think they are. :D

Yes, I can see why not having reverse lights would ruin the entire game.

Infact if they don't put reverse lights into GT4 I will buy it and then burn it, along with every other Gran Turismo game I own.

Don't be so hard on him, lol.
All he wants to do is to make the game more relistic for him, when he has to pull himself out of every sand trap on every turn. :p

Haha, I never thought of it like that.:D
By the way, your name isn't related to one of Barret's weapons in FFVII is it?

"im to 1337 to need a handbrake (e break to you americans), so lets leave that out too"

changed because im crap at spelling

And "handbrake" to everyone literate.

Racing cars have handbrakes, they rarely have reverse lights, but they should be added to the road cars at least, it's not exactley hard to implement.

I think that Godzilla_GTR is referring to stock procuction cars that are equipped with reverse lights. To me reverse lights adds realism to the 'ultamate driving simulator'. In fact back in the PS1 days, most of the Need For Speed series have reverse lights but their games are cow's poo compared to the GT series. To me R-lights, front foglights, rear fog lights (the super bright red lights at the rear that are common in Europe), and Hazard lights(blinking turn signals) are better suited in GT than putting horns like PGR and NFS series.

Heh, heh, I would really like to use those hazard light while having fun running at the gymkhana track. :D

Or use those front and rear foglight at the foggy Grindelwald track (if possible), man that would me fun. :p

:dunce:

GT should have reverse lights, head lights and rear lights, thats all. I don't to be seeing cars indicating as they take the Laguna corckscrew. Reverse lights on production cars along with the main lights, thats all you want in racing game.
