Sooo, a forum in the Automotive section for members rides? A lot of us here own cars, some very nice ones too, so it isn't going to go to waste.
We have the 'Post a pic of your real car' and 'What do you drive' topics, but to be honest i pretty much never look in them purely because it would take too long - over 3,000 replies in each topic.

I dunno, a lot of other forums do this sort of thing and i think it would work well here with the large member base.

Just maybe one topic per member, with the ability to edit topic titles incase car ownership changes. That's all you'd need.

Let the disagreeing etc begin. ;)
 
You would be better off contacting Jordan directly about this. Having a public poll isn't going to make an ounce of difference - it's not a case of collecting enough support to get it approved. You'll probably have to convince Jordan that such an addition would contribute to the forum.
 
The poll was just a quick afterthought, and i guessed that having enough support for it in a topic would help convince Jordan to give it some thought.

In my opinion it would tidy up the automotive forum, and make it easier to keep track of who owns what sort of car etc since all the topics are members rides, and not ever fourth or fifth one through nineteen pages.

I dunno. Its no biggy, but yeah.

Ironically, this hardly contributes anything to the forum. This post I've quoted. More so given that Jordan himself as stated asking questions here first, unless they are too sensitive for a public topic, is preferred to personally messaging him.

You should be aware of this, being a "Super" Mod and all.

As for the topic, I feel it could be nice, but I don't know if we actually have enough members that are active on discussion of their own cars to merit a sub-forum. We've done fairly well with each user making a thread that he maintains for their vehicle collection and such.

How would Jordan know if an idea garnered enough support if it was sent in a PM?
 
I like the idea, but as mentioned by Azuremen, I'm still not sure if our automotive forums are active enough to support it. I guess we'll find out. :)
 
👍 Awesome Jordan!!! It'll keep all the "build threads" together. I know quite a few forums have a section like this an it works out quite well. I am happy to see it make it's way on to GTP!

It's under thread tools, I moved my thread this morning without issue.

Doesn't seem to be very popular - i'm guessing because people don't know about it, or think its something different. I'm still seeing new topics like 'Check out my new XXXX', 'here's my XXXX car' etc etc in the general car discussion forum thingy.

So not looking promising unless someone keeps letting those people know there's a forum for personal cars now. :(
