Sorry to make a new thread. I couldn't find the info I was looking for on the fist 5 pages.

So I know the patch is coming to fix this but I just wanted to see if there was a quick-fix I can do myself. I had no problem with saving in the Nurburgring 4 hour enduro so I went to Tsukuba(sp?). X-2011 so I can take breaks while the clock runs. And of course, the first save at 3 hours, I just try and go back now and the car is just wrecking as I restart. I went in the pits VERY slow too, like 10mph.

Is there some work-around fix? Or am I going to have to just hope that the patch will fix mid-save? I tried a couple things I read in one thread, like e-braking and turning right, and that does change what the car does but it's still A.I. controlled. But that thread ended with no more info on if anything worked. Lil Help?

Hard to say since I don't know exactly how your car is reacting when you load up. Usually making the car spin out by using the handbrake will trick the AI into driving over pit lane again and the game will bring up the pit menu prompt. If it's shooting off into the track across the grass divider like it did for me, try that.
You won't be able to spin it a full 180 precisely, but if you can make it spin about 100-120 degrees before the AI gains control, you may get it back onto pit road as it turns to go the right way.

Ok, I guess I'll have to just keep trying and quitting out of the game. When I e-braked to the right when it started, the car went 90 degrees and stopped while still kinda in cinematic mode, the nose hit the inside wall and the car stopped, but when it went to race view A.I. was still in controll and he went back onto the track, didn't stay in pit lane. Oh well, gonna try and few more time, and if it doesn't work I'll just hope the patch will fix the issue mid-save. Thanks tho.

Yeah, it might take a few tries or a different approach altogether. Downshifting, braking and steering right to keep from going off into the track once worked for me, because at the moment when the game resumed the car was sort of turning right trying to stay on pit lane, but with 2 tires on the grass it would lose too much grip and end up on the track when the AI took over. Good luck anyways, hope the update fixes it so you don't have to start over.
