Some swedish guys have developed tyres for racing superbikes on ice. The site contains very cool photos and a few videos. The videos are poor in quality though but the bikes looks so badass with the spike tyres.

That is insane! Very very cool tho. It makes you wonder why nobody hasnt come up with that before. Every thing from sleds to cars use them on ice why not motorcycles.

This is the first I've ever seen of them using sportbikes on ice. They've been using dirtbikes for years, though.

They also do motorbike speedway racing on the ice (like Josh mentioned) using the same spike tyres, lethal though when theres a crash and a rider gets spike impaled into his skin.
