Hey, i was wondering if anyone can please share a list of cars that actually work with clutch and H shifter on the G27?

I believe the H shifter doesn't work on standard cars fitted with a custom racing transmission. (IIRC)

Havent received my wheels/pedals yet. But, is it true that GT6 will automatically blip the throttle for you to rev-match? That kind of takes the fun out of it, right?

All cars work with the G27, you can use the clutch or not at will, there isn't an option and it isn't very realistic.

it's fun nonetheless but surely I can't actually race whily trying to use the clutch in GT6, and I drive a stick daily to work... the actual problem in Gran turismo is that the car gives many false Neutrals, while the stick is in gear. You have to make a smooth gear change so the game detects it.

The clutch actually doesn't have a function in cars that have sequential gearbox, meaning you can shift the gears with the h pattern shifter without a clutch, on cars with manual gearbox on the other hand requires you to depress the clutch while let go of the gas or else you will throw it into neutral. So ya it's not very realistic, and if you want to go fast then use the paddles, it's not completely unusable though, you just won't be as fast.

And no it won't blip it for you if the car has a manual transmission when you use the clutch.

Almost every car is useless with the clutch, I'll need to experiment with the clutch feature before I can give you a list.

Back to grinding with the Veyron and the X1...

False neutrals? As in you throw the car into X gear and the game doesn't recognize it?...

it kinda works like this, you press the clutch but you release it too soon while you are putting the stick into gear. The car will stay at neutral.

it doesn't matter if it's 2nd to 3rd gear, or 4th to 5th at 340km/h, you'll get a lot of false neutrals when trying to change gear as fast as you can.

BTW, you can use the stick without the clutch, it works kinda better because you don't miss gears that way. That's what I like the most about the G27, you can use all these methods at once without leaving the race.

It auto blips for you if you're using ABS. If you turn it off, it won't auto blip. It's weird but that's how it works.

I only race against clutch users and it's fun, we manage it enough to not miss gears. Takes some time to get use to but it's worth it, you get a whole different feel for the car when using it!

I use ABS on 1 and haven't noticed an auto blip when using the clutch, but perhaps it is very subtle - it definitely isn't like the auto-blip which happens when you use the paddle shifts.

As Bluntified says it is slower (a lot slower) - that is why sequential gearshifts and then paddles were developed for racing cars.

It would be nice to be able to select an online room with clutch or set this as a host. I don't race with it because most of my friends have DFGT's. You can use it with the offline career or arcade races and the increase in your lap times will give a better race - especially if you also use cockpit view and switch off the HUD - try that with a Lancia Stratos at Mount Panorama in the night race!

I enjoy using the clutch because it adds to the realism and don't have a problem with missing shifts. Sometimes you will need to hold onto a gear or not change down as low as you would with a paddle shifter - this makes you think about your gears and learn them so that you are in the right gear for each part of the track - driving with paddles doesn't require that level of thought

It would also be good if PD would let us filter the seasonal TT's as it can be fun to do them with clutch and see how fast you can get before switching to paddles - I enjoyed doing that with the Hudson.

Man thats horrible lol i was able to use it on any car on gt5. Oh well ill just drive the cars that are able to use it.. Thats what i bought the wheel for in the first place. Yea its not good for racing but great for crusing
